ok...I know i keep talking about ericsson, I contacted a clinic in walled lake michigan, they told me that ericcson was 78-80 percent effective for a girl.  Now you guys are saying it's 50/50....? Does the clomid change the ratio?  Would I be better off with the TBM?  Has anyone else used ericsson in walled lake michigan?

I do think Ericson's is better than TBM IF you do the right stuff...

treat is just like swaying, do diet supplements and pH and the rest.  Before attempt keep your pH low.  After attempt lower your pH again.  Also they will give you an option of leaving during the sort and staying to watch.  I suggest watching then pm me and let me know what they did.

I think the stats they gave you are a little high.  It might be a little better than 50/50 but I really don't think it's 80%.  As long as you understand that there really are no guarantees, I suppose it couldn't hurt to try.

I did the ericsson method in Michigan.  Yes, they do quote 80% but I have heard of a lot of opposites.  We did one cycle back in Feb. I took 50mg of clomid days 3-7 and had a trigger shot so we knew exactly when I ovulated.  But, i got a BFN!  We spent a lot of money between medications, the method and travel.  We decided to just try naturally and sway on our own.  They say it takes on average three to four times doing IUI before pregnancy is acheived.

Yes, you are allowed to watch the process if you ask.  Although, you do not see the final step which is where the sperm is put into the IUI instrument.  They make you wait in the room for the procedure.  There def. was some question on our part whether the final specimen actually had enough sperm in it?  I hate to say it but they are out to make money and they know that most people will come back.  Also, the office was a little scary too  I hope this helps...if you have any questions just ask!

I have 4 boys! but not from Ericsson. lol.  I guess the office just wasn't what i had visioned in my head.  I thought it would be this state of the art facility.  Instead it was kinda like a hole in the wall office that didn't even have a sign outside the office just a address.  But. with that said Dr Zack was very nice, informative, and very handsome! lol. 

I know many have gotten pregnant with Ericsson, some got what they want others didn't.  I know there are some Ericsson opposites on here because i did a lot of research before we made our attempt with Ericsson.  I do not regret doing it because i know i would always wonder what if.  But, with that said i do believe you can do at home swaying with the same % and less money.

The natural secondary sex ratio is 51 boy/49 girl.  There was a study conducted by an Ericsson affiliated researcher that found clomid "changed" the sex ratio to 49 boy/51 girl. That' the whole theory behind why they put women on clomid when trying to conceive a girl.  There are a number of studies that show Ericsson does not change the ratio of sperm.  IF, and that is a big if, it works it is by other means that what the Ericsson researchers claim.  If we had a nice database of people who did PGD with Ericsson, we'd know if it works. 

Having done E in Walled Lake, I can say the following with confidence. Jennifer and Dr Zak are very nice. The office is 1980's styling. Worn out looking. Do not let your dh do his sample there, as the room is not so quiet.

Lastly, the did not seem at all shocked when I told them I was having a boy after E for a girl. Not even a sorry.

I also went to Dr. Zack in Walled Lake Michigan. I don't recommend going this route, but our experience was not very positive. After 3 attempts I finally conceived a boy (heart set on girl). Our little boy had a birth defect and died during birth (full term). When I reported back to Jennifer and Dr. Zack I couldn't believe they didn't even send their sympathy for our loss. Sorry I don't have anything positive to say, I guess I'm very jaded to the whole thing.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  No parent should ever have to experience such pain.  I hope you get your little girl someday when the time is right.  God Bless!
