I planned it.  I would still like a bigger family then what I think I'll end up with.  I guess nothing is set in stone...but 4 will probably be it.

I always, always wanted a big family. I used to sit around and think how neat it would be to have all my kids and their kids at our house for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Well, my pregnancies were not exactly "planned" but even growing up I always wanted 4 kids but I just always thought I would have a combo of both boys and girls.......this could very well be it for me though because I am now on my 4th.

We always knew we wanted 4 kids. After 4 boys, I couldn't let go of my dream of a DD. So we decided to have a 5th and now I'm SO glad that we're having 5! I love having a large family. (And I'm getting my long awaited DD!!)

Absolutely totally always wanted a BIG family before i started having children but struggled a little when the first 3 were little as they were all under 3 but now that things are easier again the desire for lots of children has returned but because of my age i will probably only have 1 more.

Re: Did you plan on having a big family?

I always wanted a big family...  When I was younger I used to think I'd like 15/16 kids!  LOL  Of course, I've changed my mind now but yes, I always wanted a large family and was never sure where I'd stop.  I think if it wasn't for my health I might have gone on to have more after this little princess arrives, but unfortunately it's no longer a realistic option for me, so we're stopping at 6 children.

    My family is finally complete!

When we were 19 and 21 eloping to Vegas the entire time driving up there I kept telling Beav, "I want a lot of kids"...He would say, "Okay, just marry me..."  (We had only known each other 6 weeks at this point.)

On the way home with our Marriage certificate in hand, he said, "So, how many is a lot of kids?"   NOW HE ASKED ME!  lol...I told him 6 and he said that was way to many.  So we settled on 4.  But, after Zach came, there was too many years between him and Jordan.  So we had Courtney so he would have someone to grow up with.

Still not 100% convinced I am done, but I am pretty darn close.

Re: Did you plan on having a big family?

When I was young I always thought I would have 2 kids...a boy and a girl...then after my first DS was born I figured I would have 2 or 3...if the 2nd was another boy then I would go for a 3rd to try for a girl, but if it was a boy then that would be it!!!  Oops!!!  But after DS#2 I divorced DH and met someone else...had two more boys with him...then we got married, then we had one more boy (of course), this was when the GD really set in...but before I could convince hoim to go one last time with a great attempt for a girl...We got a big surprise...he/she will be here in January...hopefully its a girl...but we'll see!!!  But after that...we're done!!!   No more!!!

Re: Did you plan on having a big family?

Two days after DH and I got engaged:

Me: How many kids are we going to have?
        DH: Well, a few.
        Me: How about five?
        DH: Five is good.
        Me. Five it is!

Two months after first child was born:

DH: How many kids were we going to have again?
Me: Five.... or one. One is good.
        DH: One is good!

Two years after second child was born.

Me: We should have another one.
        DH: But two is good.
Me: Two is for sissies.   We need three.
        DH: Well...

    Four it is. Happy LOL

Re: Did you plan on having a big family?

When DH and I were dating/engaged we would both say we wanted 6 kids.  He grew up in a family with 8 kids and liked it, I grew up in a family with 3 and didn't like it.  I always wanted more siblings and for them to be closer in age to me.  So I decided to give that to my own kids.  I think I've accomplished that goal enough to be done with this one.  Right now the only thing keeping me wondering if I should have more is the gender thing.  If I had two of each, I'd be calling it good.  If I do have a boy now and stop, I'm always gonna wonder if he should have a brother.  And if I have a girl now I'll always wonder what it's like to have a son, but would be more likely to be done.  I guess at this point, I'm kind of thinking of having less kids then orginally planned.
