Does having an open cervix always mean that the women is fertile and may have and/or had ovulated? Or can it be open just "because" ?

P.S. I havent started my period yet, since giving birth to Brayden, and I was just wondering if this was a sign that I am starting to ovulate or not.

Almighty Creator,

Hear this prayer and the wishes of my heart. You know my deep desire for a child, a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. grant that my body may conceive and give birth to a beautiful, healthy baby in Your holy image. Guide me in all my choices so that this conception, my pregnancy and my baby's birth are in line with Your will. Heavenly Father hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit.

Amen~

Women who have had children may always have an open cervix even if you are not ovulating at that time.  Women who haven't most likely will have a fully closed cervix when not ovulating.

Ditto. Also since you gave birth not too long ago your cervix may be different from it's usual way. It takes practice to  pinpoint ovulation and/or your fertile days by your cervix. What might be normal to you might not be normal to others. For some women the cervix doesn't open much, get soft much or even move up much. For others it does. Mines does textbook changes when I'm going to ovulate but I've also had fertile cervix changes when I'm trying to ovulate (I have irregular cycles so sometimes it takes me a couple of times to gear to ovulate until I do for sure).
