Hello everyone! I am newly pg with twins and was looking for a twin buddy or two! I am 11 weeks along and am already tired of being pg! I am definetly scared (this was natural conception and a big SHOCK!) Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I'm currently pregnant with twins as well. I have 2 boys like yourself, and now expecting a boy/girl combo. The conception was natural as well. I am definitely getting larger faster than with the singletons and my back -lower spine is really killing me, other than that all is well.

I think it should be quite overwhelming to be brought 2 babies at delivery time. I hope you enjoy your pregnancy. Are these going to be your last?

Nice to meet you! My back just started hurting today! I am totally done with being prego and I have 5 more months or more to go! I started throwing up last night! I thought I was almost out of the woods! I am really scared to have two at the same time! I used to love being pg but this one is making me rethink that! When did you start to feel your babies move? I hear its earlier than with a singleton. I felt my last son move at 16 weeks so I am thinking it will be before that??? Does it feel wierd having two moving around in there? I can already feel that I am heavy and sometimes i can feel them on my bladder (so fun!). Tell me this gets better.....

I think I felt twitches for the first time at 11 weeks, but not regularly until about 17 weeks. Unfortunately the weight and pressure only gets worse as the pregnancy progresses. My ultrasound tech had twins and informs me of this when I go to visit. She said she felt so much pressure towards the end of her pregnancy and her cervix and everything was strong. Her babies weighed 4 and 5 pounds at birth.

Just  tough it out, that's all you can do. I guess you're hoping for at least one girl? Your chances are good!

Actually they are identical twins! So they are either two girls or two boys! Just my luck! I am glad someone is out there that can relate to me! I am feeling a little better but still seem to be always tired. I think I may be a little depressed at the thought of two! Oh well, I hope I get over that soon!

I was very tired the first 4-5 months. I just slept after I came home from work. Now, I have more energy I've been in the "nesting " stage.

It is scary but you do get used to it. And it comes with so many rewards!!

You can't go any where shopping what ever with out people asking if they are twins. My dad got so annoied he said I should say "what you see 2" mine are identicle.

He always says what the hell do they think of course there twins!! Its fun though.

hehe thats funny! I think I should get a sign for the stroller: yes we are twins! so they will not ask so much! I read that comment every board I go to!

Thanks. Are you on bed rest yet? I heard that most peeps with twins go on bed rest early. the doc said the average time is around 28 weeks. My friend had to go on bed rest at 20 weeks. I am just curious as I am nervous about not working!!! I am a teacher and am trying to "plan" my leave of absence but I am sure it will be a wait and see thing anyway!

The doctor did not tell ,me to go on bedrest, I'm just now 26 weeks and huge. I put myself on bedrest, LOL. I'm also a teacher, but we're out for the summer right now anyway. I've been eating and sleeping a lot. My last day of work when school ended last month I was 23 weeks. By the time school starts again it will be time for me to have the babies.

I hate to say it but you get bigger. The week before I gave birth to my twins my dad took a picture of 3 dogs sitting on my tummy. It was really funny.

Thats neat that we are both teachers and are both expecting twins and we both have two other children! Its nice to know I am not alone in this world! I am year round so we ended June 27 and are going back next Wednesday. I left barely noticebly prego and now I can not hide it anymore! I am so nervous to tell my principal. I dont want to let him down. I teach at a title one school and its hard to get good people to fill in for others who are good for the kids. I am especially nervous because I dont know if I am coming back! With one baby it would be easy to have family and friends watch her but now that there are two involved i dont think people would be so willing to babysit two all day! My mother in law is awesome but I dont want to burden her with two babies. I have so many worries now that there are two. I go on those forums and see people trying to concieve twins and wonder why in the world would they want to do that to their bodies and financially. It has been hard for me to come to terms with having two as I am a worrier and a planner....both are not good for having twins! I try to play it one day at a time but am already overwhelmed. I search online for others who have advice and have only found one good source of advice: take turns sleeping 6 hour shifts. I would sleep from 6pm-midnight and then my husband would sleep from midnight to 6 am. That sounds like  a good idea and wondered why I never thought of that with the other two! We were both just going to take care of one but I would rather take turns sleeping! Just thought Id share that good idea.
