hi ladies i was wondering if any of you know why some take clomid on cycle day 3-7 and others on 5-9?  My doc told me to take it 3-7 but I actually missed my dose!  Do you think I could take it 5-9 and be ok?  Thanks for the help!

 

CD5-9 produces the best egg but it produces the smallest amount of eggs and maybe even just one egg.  I would definitely take it CD5-9 so that you don't miss a cycle on it.  I am not sure why some are suggested to take it 3-7 versus 5-9 though.

i was actually directed to take it 5-9  I think you produce a couple of good eggs vs a bunch of maybe not so high quality ones.  I would def do it 5-9 if you have missed 3-7.  GL

You can even do 4-8, too. Both of my boys are 4-8 babies. HTH!

Ok well my Doc gave me the ok to take it 5-9!  Today is day 6 and I already have headaches   I hope i produce 2 good follicles so i have a better chance for a girl! lol.

Clomid headaches are THE worst. Take some tylenol and drink a lot of water.
