X-posted from the pregnancy board:
When I was pregnant with my son my skin became extremely dry, especially on the upper arms/ shoulders and on my hands. My childhood excema flared up as well, especially between my fingers. My doctor prescribed different cremes, even an anti-fungal cream because he thought it might be a fungal skin infection, but nothing helped.
Anyway, with this pregnancy my skin is supersoft (no dryness, no excema) but often it shows red flushes, especially in my face and sometimes my entire belly is flushed, hot and red and breaks out in something like a rash with lots of tiny spots (almost looks like a German measles rash, but I know I'm immune and it disappears over night).
Climate & weather have been the same for both pregnancies.
It just occurred to me how different my skin has been in both pregnancies. Have you noticed anything similar? Is my body just having extreme reactions to the pregnancy hormones? Could it be a sign of having the opposite sex this time around? (My gender scan is next week, so I'll know for sure then - if baby co-operates!)
