How is everyone doing these days??

After being AWOL for awhile, I've been popping online more lately... to check out the latest birth announcements, and also because the last 6 weeks of pregnancy just seem to drag on and on.  After some preterm labor (hospitalized at 26 weeks for 3 days) and a little more dilation at 32 weeks, things seem to have stabilized for me.  I'll bet I go past my due date despite all this craziness during my pregnancy!!

How are the rest of the July moms doing??  Is everyone ready for their new arrivals??  (I personally have done nothing to prepare a nursery b/c we are presently out of our house due to home renovations -- but I unpacked the breast pump and have started to clean and organize my bitty baby clothes).  How are the older siblings getting along?  My boys can't believe how BIG I am getting.  My oldest was only 2 years old when my second was born, so he really didn't get it.  But now, at 6 and almost 4 years old, they are totally getting into the baby.  It's making the experience more fun for me :-)

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.  You ladies were such great support to me while I waited for ultrasound/gender results... I'd love to hear how everyone is doing as we all near the births of our babies.  I'm thinking of you all...

Well I'm only a few days behind you.  I'm booked in for my caesar on the 15th at 9.30am and am told that I will deliver at 11.30am, hows that for precision! lol

I'm huge btw..... my back feels like its gonna give way when I stand for long periods, the sleeping.... well, what's that????  I'm so restless, I'm sleeping solid for a few hours and then wake, go to the loo and well, it goes in a vicious circle until its time to get up to start the day.  I'm having baxton hicks all the time as well as heartburn which is driving me crazy.  I'm onto my second 500ml bottle of Gaviscon which provides some relief.  I'm 99% finished with the nursery, I tripped on the ladder whilst painting and spilt paint everywhere, and I mean everywhere... so DH said 'that's it, call in a painter', so he arrives in a week to finish off and then I'm done.  I have a ready made wardrobe for her that could rival Paris Hilton, I've gone a little overboard you could say! lol  and yes, I'm counting down the days, I just can't wait, and you're right the last 6wks goes soooooooo slowly. The big wait is now on!

I am FED UP! I can't wait for it to be over. My boys are on half term so at least I can have a week break from doing the school and nursery runs. All that walking tires me out.

Everyone (including strangers) keep saying how low I look. I took my boys to a public toilet the other day and a woman started rubbing my belly saying you're very low. I didn't even know her.

I spend most of the night getting upp for the toilet. I've got her loads and loads of clothes. Everything is ready. Just waiting for her. The boys keep asking when is she going to be here.

I just hope she comes 14 days early like my last one did.

I have my OB appt tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get my c/s date this week.  I've been feeling pretty good overall.  I'm definitely expanding and am "big" compared to where I was a month ago, but I'm not really big at all.

THis baby is much more active than DS was, and I've already had a few kicks that pinched/hurt.  Never had that even once with DS.  I think the baby is lying either transverse or breech (or moving between the two) because I never feel any kicks up above.  she likes to hang out on the right side of my uterus, which can get pretty uncomfortable, as it's like she's pressing her entire body into one side.  I get what I think is a foot poking out far back on my right side, almost near my back, quite frequently.  Who knew the uterus would spread that far out?!  I have a pretty short torso, so I guess there's nowhere else for it to go.

My stroller should be arriving any day, and I've stocked up on cloth diapers.  been buying a few clothes, but my SIL and my neighbor have both said they would give me their daughters' clothes, so I will be pretty much set.

I'm happy to finally be at 30 weeks.  I work in a high risk maternity hospital, and am therefore a little uncomfortable being in the 24-29 weeks stage, just because I see all the preemies, and the charts of all the moms who've had major problems.

I'm really looking forward to being off work in about 8 weeks.  We get a year off in Canada, and I can't wait!

Things were going good here. Since being hospitalized too at 26weeks, I've had no more problems. BUT on Sunday I had a trickle, just brushed it aside thinking maybe it was urine Worried BUT today I've had a few period pains and a little gush of liquid. So spet most of the day in hospital being monitored. Have no idea if im losing my waters or not. The hospital were pretty useless!

DS1 is on Half Term here so its nice not walking him to school and back everyday. Im struggling to walk now.

DS2 was 2 yesterday so we took him out for Dinner. Our last Dinner out as a family of 4Happy

I have my Midwife coming to visit me on Thursday as im on weekly visits now due to raised BP and I have glucose in my urine, then next week I see my consultant and get my Date for my Section Surprise

We have nothing ready for this baby. I have only just packed my bags, but the carrycot is still packed in the box, I havnt bought any sheets to use on the carrycot yet, and there is no room in our bedroom to fit te baby in! (Im glad nesting has kicked in so I can spend my time getting stuff sorted now lol)

Cant believe it'll all be over in about 4 weeks! EEK

Re: How is everyone doing these days??

Things seem to be going well, except for anemia, but I am taking iron for that. I am booked in for a c-section 8 weeks tomorrow and counting! The only thing I am a little worried about is that I will get the PUPPS rash again. When I was pregnant with DS1 I had a slight rash on my stomach in the last couple of weeks and then 1 week after I delivered him I had to be re-admitted to hospital as it spread over about 90% of my body. I had to have steroid cream hot body wraps 3 to 4 times a day and I itched like crazy. I had to have DS2 2 weeks early as it started to appear on my stomach again, but thankfully it did not spread post natal. Anyway I think it is starting again, just slightly, but early this time. I just don't want to have to be in hospital for 2 weeks again because of my boys. So I am keeping my fingers crossed it will stay under control.

I am in nesting mode, cleaning out the pantry, washing the baby's things etc. I am pretty slow in the mornings and then feel like I need a walking frame by early evening LOL. So I try to get things done between 12 and 5 when I have the most energy. My DS2 has no idea what is going on as he is too young, but DS1 is very excited! I can't wait to meet him too. Glad everyone is doing well, won't be long until there are some birth announcements now!

Re: How is everyone doing these days??

My C/S is scheduled for 7/7 but i'm hoping to come before then.  DS1 was 14 days early and DS2 was 10 days early.  Both went early due to a pinprick leak in my water.  Doctor said there's a good chance it will happen again.  My uterus can probably only stretch so far, you know?

The boys are very excited about the baby.  My mom was going to throw me a shower but I asked her to hold off.  I don't really need anything, just money for diapers, etc.  We're going to have it a month after the baby is born.  Plus, we aren't 100% positive it is a boy and I'd hate to get tons of boy clothes if Julian becomes Juliet.  I'm really hoping to get an u/s to check the size of the baby.  I want a finalized answer on the gender!  Unfortunately, at the 17 week u/s I didn't get any toilet pics to obssess over. Sad

Baby has hiccups on a daily basis.  My entire belly visibly shakes.  The boys think it's funny :)

Just taking it one day at a time. . .
