Hi, Is anyone currently awaiting an u/s to confirm their TMPOB results? I took TMPOB at 7 weeks and got a boy result, I am now 16 weeks and have spent the last 9 weeks feeling worse than I ever could have imagined I can honestly say buying that test was THE worst decision I have ever made in my life. My husband and I are desperate to have a baby girl this time, we already have a little boy. I unfortunately had already taken the test before I found this site and would strongly advise anyone not to even consider doing this test, it is so much nicer to find out your babies sex whilst looking at him/her on an ultrasound than getting an email with the results. I am having an u/s next tues so will know for sure but regardless of people who claim the test has been wrong for them I can't help but believe it is right for me :(

Thanks for post and congratulations! Did TMPOB give you an explanation why they were wrong? Have you had any boys previously?

oops ignore that last bit, I have just seen that you have two little boys. I bet you were sooo excited when you found out they were wrong . I am really pleased for you and hope they are wrong for me too

Yes...I have two boys.  See...the problem with the test...and the reason why it's unreliable is that male DNA can actually circulate in a womans systems for DECADES!  That is a small little tidbit that TMPOB forgets to mention.  Only found this out after I took the test.  Of course TMPOB says I "contaminated" the sample....um....that is impossible.  I know how I took the test and I was very very careful and the whole area was sterile! 

I called them and they assured me that it is a different type of DNA in the blood from a previous baby and they can differenciate between the two. I think they are full of rubbish though from what I have read and regardless of whether I am carrying a boy or a girl I don't believe a word they say. Its good to know there are other people in my position and am really glad I found this site, thanks for your support Jojogirl!!!!

Yeah...different male DNA ....rubbish is right!  Hope you get a little girl!

Hi sparkle 2 I did the pob test in March they told me boy, I am having my ultrasound this afternoon.  I will let you Know tomorrow if it was correct for me.

I am like Jojogirl, they told me boy and Im having a girl. If you read back through many posts, they have got it wrong for so many people. I never got an explanation why or an apology but they said there was no contamination etc, did a retest and alas shows girl so i got a refund.

I agree with you that it would be so much nicer just waiting for the ultrasound, I guess I was very desperate to find out if my girl attempt worked as early as possible but really didnt enjoy the 1st half of the pregnancy. I still cant accept Im having a girl sometimes cos they put me through a lot of doubt. Its a horrible company and it saddens me that so many women will get sucked in in the future.

Good luck to you and have a happy and healthy pregnancy. I know its hard to do so when youre unsure but when i was awaiting my u/s the ladies on here told me to forget I ever took the test, and it was great advice and they are a great support.

Good morning girls,  pob was correct with me. They said boy at 10wks ultrasound yesterday said boy as well. Would have been nice to have a girl since I have two boys allready but they are 9 and 12 so I am happy just the same. Its almost like this is my first baby all over again!! We will try for a girl with the next one.  Good luck with your little ones.

Like Teagan and JoJo, I took the test and it was wrong for me too.  Said boy and had girl..  I wish I would have found this site before the test...It is a horrible thing to women while they are pregnant.  Just wait for your ultrasound and put the test out of your mind.

They were wrong for me too.....2 tests from them said boy, and they said there was absolutely no contamination and their results were 100%.  A 19 week and 26 week ultrasound confirmed girl for me, and I had by little girl 4 weeks ago.  This test put alot of stress on me and was one of the worst decisions I made during my pregnancy.  I'm now waiting to receive her birth certificate to be refunded.  I hope things go your way....good luck!

Hi i'm sure uv already read my posts but I got girl result twice then finally at about 26 wks or so they said boy ..... This test is awful i'm so sorry u didn't find this site before buying it xxxxx
