American Idol Improvements?

As we all know, AI is going down the drain.  Every year they're losing more and more viewers and this year they're reaching out to get people's opinions on how to improve it.

For me, I hate when good people (Carly, Michael Johns) get voted off too early because of flukes!  I also hate the group performances.  It's just more stress for the contestant and I find them boring.  Let them just concentrate on their song already!

For those SYTYCD lovers, I say they implement the same voting system for AI.  Basically, America votes on the bottom 2 couples (or 2 contestants in AI's case), then they "dance for their lives" (this part could obviously be skipped), and the judges decide which of the two go home based on past performances, potential, etc.  If AI implemented this system, people would stay in the competition for their talent, not just popularity, you know?  And your final four wouldn't have had Jason and Syesha in it!

Also, I wish they would do more up to date songs.  I understand being able to do variety, but it's not a great way to showcase how their records will sound.

I think that sounds like an awesome idea!!  I don't get why America votes.  I can pretty much tell who is bad and who is good but that isn't the point of the competition.  The point is to find the best and only people who are trained to hear music like this should vote. 

Where can you write in your opinions??

Hmmm.. I don't know.  I just heard a buzz online about it.  I bet if you googled it you might be able to find the right person to write to.  I'm just so surprised that Nigel (being the exec. producer of AI and SYTYCD) wouldn't think to bring over the voting system to AI, you know?  It just makes the most sense to me.
