Anyone guessing at what they could be having? I keep going back and forth. With my first DS, I was really sick during the first trimester. With DS#2 morning sickness lasted until 16 weeks but I didn't feel as sick. Also with both those pregnancies, it didn't start until 6/7 weeks. This time morning sickness started very early but it has not been that bad. I'm 8 weeks and I was expecting to be really sick by this point but the nausea comes and goes. I am not gaining much weight. With DS#2 I gained weight right away and I was in maternity clothes by this point. I had lost about 10 pounds before getting pregnant this time and I fit in my regular clothes just fine. I really don't feel pregnant. Anyone else examining their symptoms to guess at gender?

Well, I probably shouldn't answer this question since I know I'm having a girl (unless there was human error!).  But I would like to point out that this pregnancy seems to be most like my pregnancy with DS1.  Still not sick, and eating a lot already (seriously, I'm hungry all the time, and if I do happen to feel slightly queasy, some food fixes it right away!).  In contrast, I feel much different than my pregnancy with DS2 (who I just knew was a girl because I was much more tired, and sick--still not a lot of morning sickness, but a lot of general queasiness).  For me, I guess these early symptoms don't really turn out to mean much.  But I have heard some people say that their pregnancies with different genders were much different.  Overall I would say different is good if you want the opposite gender (but like I said this was not true for me with DS2).  Really hope you have a pink bean in there!

Having had four pregnancies, I can say that they were all progressively better.  My first DS kept me sick for 7 months, each subsequent DS was better.  The last pregnancy I didn't actually puke at all, just felt nauseous.   I think it is hard to judge what we are having by what we are feeling.  I hope you are pregnant with a girl this time.

It is so hard to tell... with both of my boys i was so incredibly sick...i was throwing up all day every day for the first trimester...now the third and i am not sick at all...very strange...i keep waiting but at almost 9 weeks i think it should be here by now?

A friend of mine that has two girls and two boys (lucky, huh?) she said with her boys she was so sick and with her girls never had a day of m/s.  Of course i am clinging to this thought everyday trying to not convince myself that it is true!!!

Not very sick with ds#1. Basically just tired and then threw up a couple times at 9-10 weeks. I don't remember being nauseated much if at all. Ds#2 was the complete opposite. Nauseated all the time and threw up more times than I can count. Started around 5-6 weeks. Ds#3 was more like ds#2, but not quite as bad. Wasn't as nauseated. This one I am much more like ds#2. I feel horrible and nauseated 24/7 with few breaks of feeling "okay". Haven't decided for sure yet, but this may be my worst one yet. I know my mom was about equally sick with my brother and I. I really don't think it's the gender. Just the pregnancy itself.
