Hello, I haven't posted on here before as I have been trying to persuade my husband for ages to have another and he has finally agreed and we are considering using Genesis in Cyprus with sperm sorting (spinning) and PGD to try for a girl. Has anyone here used them? My husband has said he will only do it if I can be sure it is safe and there is no risk to me. They say they have an 80% success rate but who monitors this and who regulates them? We are thinking of going in December 2012 so have to decide soon so please let me know if you know anything! Thanks

Hi, I have been there twice and now pregnant with our ivf/PGD/spermsort son. We are going defenetly back for a girl next year. I can recommend dr Savvas and his staff. Many people cycled before me and got pregnant. At the moment there are a few girls cycling over there. Two are current PUPO. You can read there stories also on www.genderdreaming.com. Good luck with your decision!

Hi thanks for your reply, glad you had a good experience. My husband has just realised there is a chance of twins as Savvas said to put back in 2 because of my age, 38 and he says he doesn't want to risk that. I don't want to cut the chance of success by putting in one, any ideas or experience on this would be great, thanks!

There is always a possibility for twins even if you just transfer one but its so a small risk. It depends also on your quality of embryos. I think Savvas can predict it. I transfered 4 a d ended with just one so you never know but Savvas was right when he adviced me to do that. But we didn't mind twins or even more! If you really don't want twins just transfer one and wit a BFN you can go back for a FET.

Thanks again. Do you know at what stage they put the embryos back in, is it blastocyst on day 5 and is this more successful? Also, do you know the cost of frozen embryo transfer? I guess you can just go out for a few days for that? Are you going to go back again? Do you know anyone who it has worked for first time? Sorry for all the questions, I tried to call him today but he was busy. Thanks!

They do a day 5 transfer. They were blastocyst and hatching. I know a few who are a OHW with Savvas but it is rare to be a OHW it doesn't depend on the doctor. The first cycle is always a trial because you don't know how you react on medicines. I have no idea the costs of FET. I think you better email Savvas with your questions and the you can phone him too. He is a very very busy man but he answers you emails always personal. And yes we defenetly going back for a girl. I hope in June or October if everything is ok with me and the baby in December.

CRESCENT38, I have 42 years old and my husband 39 I'm in the same case because my husband is not very convinced for years and now he say that firs we have to visit our doctor in Spain and then if he say that I don't have a risk he maybe say yes.

My question is: you choose finally GENESIS you think that is the best one, how much it cost all the treatment??. I start speaking with North Cyprus Clinic but I see in this Forum that the best one is GENESIS, I'm right??

Hi since I last posted I failed to convince my husband to do the pgd, he didn't want twins, so we decided to try naturally and I am now pregnant, I think it is a boy again as I haven't had bad morning sickness and am being more aggressive apparently! Perhaps due to testosterone? Has anyone else been in this situation? I want everything to be ok but just wish it would be a girl! X

Oh no, let me give you a hug... but it's not a 100 per cent? So little hope left?
How many boys do you have?
I can only tell you that you will love your last son as much as the other (I can tell by experience!)

Oh no, let me give you a big hug! I can imagine how you are feeling now!

We will try HT to concieve a girl (after 3 boys) this year.

Perhaps just wait and ask DH in one year to try HT?

Hi what is ht? My husband is saying no more after this and the only way we can do it is if I don't have this one which is putting me in an impossible position x
