We discussed going HT for our 3rd considering I have a condition that makes having babies harder and they are breach and c-sections. This one will be the same as the first because of that condition. but i get your point of taking a positive spin on everything regardless of gender :)

We're gonna open the envelope... whatever it is I will celebrate with with my DH and anyone else who wants to too. But negative comments or anyone who hurts my feelings about it if it is a girl will be told right away. I will have none of that. I wont be biting my tongue. I feel like people need to be put in their place or Id just be a doormat for them to hurt.

We are excited. And Im already thinking of different nursery designs and color schemes for both genders. It's going to be fun to be able to shop :)

 aww im sorry you have so many issues:( I cant wait to hear though!!! I am excited too..i might steal your dinner idea :P weve been planning the envelope for two reasons...one...i finally got over my gd and im not sure if it will come back....so considering surprise again....and two...dh will be out of town:( so i will be alone with all the kids..and i dont want to accidently break down again in front of them all and the tech...again..so...decided if in envelope we can open together...and cope together...or....we can decide to just not know...and go surprise again if we feel that hearing boy would just bring it all back....at least if i know i have the choice...i think i will be ok with the surprise...plus if i need a few days then il wait a few days when I know gd wont come back...but I am so excited for you!!!! I always wanted to do a nursery for my kids but never have..and dont think will for this one either:(...we are renting and thinkin bout movin cuz they raised rent way too high on us so..even if i did get to..i might have to wait til after move and baby comes lol..i still wont believe iif this is a girl for me cuz my last was a boy supposed to be girl...lol so i think ive already convinced myself either way this is  aboy til it pops out otherwise lmao....maybe thats what really helped me was i know i wouldnt believe girl anyways. I am  very excited either way... but I have to say dreading the comments from others BUT I decided Im not telling strangers what we are having... I will keep replying we dont know or we are having a baby lol but family better be warned hopefully my dh will give them a heads up because I wont be anything less than blatantly honest and I wont sugar coat my reaction to their stupid comments.

Preparing a nusery is a lot of work. My DD room took a whole year for me to decide and then I changed it again after... Different rug, and a shade darker on the pink and a different tv and jeez the list goes on lol my DH was like wow glad we didnt do it right away when she was born bc 1) we cosleep whatever judge if you want but DD was breast fed and we enjoyed having her in there infact she still sleeps with us lol attachment parenting i guess. So her room wasnt used at all the first year except for like to store her stuff 2) He thought if I changed it twice than from the start I prob would have changed it a ton of times and drove him nuts and spent too much lol

I think you should get a few things in a theme you like. It will help you nest and make this baby feel special. They have some great matching blankets, bibs... small items that will all match to make a theme that wont break bank but will make you feel like you do have a theme and prepared in that way to make it special.

Retail therapy helped me get over my GD with DD. But I got over this GD because reality sunk in.

 Lol..did you not see how  many kids we have lol...i dont get to go be anywhere without kids..:(....i even gave up my dream birthday date cuz i knew wouldnt have the money for it...all i wanted was one last night alone...wanted a date...get a motel room..just the two of us....and a jacuzi cuz man all i have is a shower and i want a nice relaxing bath lol.....so ya....plus...since i gave that up we went out to eat as a fam...lol...so there went my go out money lmbo....banks not broken but its close lol....i do plan on getting atleast some matchn bed set...i hope...lol..if i had more money im sure it would help but we been tight for few weeks now..altho hope lookn better i started babysittin to bring in more...i wish could work but between all the kids and my school and what not lol...i just dont have time to work work and the jobs i can get right now dont pay enough hence why goin to school so ya...this baby was bad timing...we wanted one more but not til all kids were in school and i was just gettn out....i was switchn bc and boom lol....funny thing is....both of us have been told no babies ever....and i was told after my first never again...lol....so i guess good for us we are so fertile but man...lol....i really wanted to PLAN for a baby this time lol not be like umm oops im pregnant....but o well...i love it...i was pregnant right before it...i miscarried and was bout to start my bc and then boom i was preg again....so ya..lol....this whole pregnancy has been a major shock and its been very hard on me to physically...my drs werent too off when said shouldnt have kids...i have healthy kids...but they destroy my body...each pregnancy gets worse and worse...and this one as bad as been indeed has to be my last but still getting over that part lol...i finally got over the gd now i got get over never again...lol.....hard to let go of such thngs isnt it???

I have to say.... planned pregnancies are a shock too. (believe it or not lol) This one is 110% planned and when I got my positive test result my DH he is too funny said "but i wasnt REALLY trying this month" and he had a smile ear to ear  it was hilarious.

My sister planned her son and I swear she sat on the toilet lid as I was like "for real it's positive you gotta call your DH and tell him he is going to be thrilled!" AND she had a stare on her face like how did this happen...?? ummm you tried for months silly LOL It took her a few days to actually come to terms with yes she is prego and going to be a mom. total shock.

If you bring the  kids along I say prep them for opening the envelope too. Maybe make some sort of game out of it. Also consider their opinions on a name... especially if it a boy because they will feel like it's special. JUST a thought.

 well we already got our boy n girl name...that was one one way helpn with gd i needed a name for a boy too...i hated how hard it was to think and agree on a name togeter for a boy but how quick we were to agree on a girl name...our kids are all 6 almost 7 and younger all but my oldest son dont care anymore cuz their mom is having yet another girl....altho they keep sayn want me have a girl too...my oldest son tho..he wants a girl as bad as me..as soon as he found out migh not be girl he stopped caring and stopped wantn nething to do with me

I like our girl  name better than our boy name. and with DD I liked the boy name we picked then (not going with that this time if a boy because DH decided he didnt like it) better than the girl name we had picked then. It actually took me a good 30 weeks to decide on a name for DD that I loved.

It's really hard when the siblings get GD. They are so young and react in harsh ways but they dont understand that they are :(

When was your last scan? was it def a boy?

 i was 16 weeks...and the tech could not confirm..she said saw boy and girl bits and legs were crossed whole time and hand was down there and she didnt want to look in first place told me 16 weeks is too early....

Yeah someone just told me in the u/s prediction forum that it's not the nub but pelvic and hip bone. It would have been fun to guess because it's helping to pass the time lol My scan is tonite at 7 and then we go to dinner. I'll update everyone in the morning because my evenings are too  busy with a toddler and winding down to do it tonite. I will update ASAP in the morning!! :)

It's ok. I was told there's no nub in my LO pic. Which has me 110% convinced we are having another little girl. No nub no pee pee is what Im thinking LOL. My daughter had a short nub at 12wks 2d. But it was flat and totally 110% girl votes on IG. To be confirmed at her 16 week potty shot that we elected to do like this one. So given the track record for me & IG forums... Id say if there's no nub... there's a baby girl in there.

But good thing I like my girl name we have picked and I am just greatful the baby is healthy and we are adding another blessing to our family.

Because like I said in the start of this thread....

Some people have lost their child/ren. And I cannot be ungreatful for the ones Im given and are here with me.
