TMPOB WAS RIGHT FOR ME! (USED SHETTLES METHOD AND GOT A BOY!)

I have two girls and was really hoping for a boy. This pregnancy wasn't any different then how it started w/my girls, so I really wasn't convinced when I saw "Congrats....It's a Boy". Of course, that is when I started doing all of the frantic searches online to see what all of the other posts were saying about their results....and as you notice....most posts are implying the results were incorrect! I suddently became disappointed, thinking my results are probably wrong too......but sure enough.....4 weeks later.....we saw our little son on U/S!! I can't really say that the test is worth the money especially considering the fact that there are so many people claiming incorrect results. Once you get to the U/S, IT IS WHAT IT IS! If TMPOB was wrong, then you will just be disappointed b/c you are now out of some $$ and you were expecting the opposite gender! Two wrongs don't make a right :-) I will say that we did attempt the "Shettles Method" (i.e. the whole timing thing to get the gender you want) and it worked!! We waited until the day after ovulation (and didn't have ANY intercourse a week before), we did it in a DP position and my husband had ingested enough caffiene to power a train before we had intercourse. I believe in the method, b/c both of my girls were conceived by having intercourse 3-4 days prior to ovulation.

Yes, congrats!   TMPOB causes a lot of pain and doubt, in their theory you shouldn't have to spend time between their results and the big U/S to determine if they were right.   I'm glad they were right for you and you got your desired gender, I just wish that you didn't have to doubt them in the first place.   Enjoy little boy blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey!  I am new here - but have been in the wings for a while.  I found this site after using TMPOB and received a GIRL result - after already having 2 girls already.  I love them dearly, but desperately wanted a son - so badly!  I believed the results they sent me, and became very depressed - severe GD - and it practically ruined 5-6 weeks of my pregnancy.  Luckily for me, TMPOB was WRONG - and all my sadness, tears, bad thoughts, and anger were pointless.  I am having a BOY!

I really wish I had not put myself through that test, I would have just rather waited until the U/S and been a bit further along...I discourage anyone from using this test.  It is so often wrong.  I am in the process of Re-testing to see if I can get a refund.  Just another pain.

I am glad they were right for you, and CONGRATS on your little boy soon to me.  We are in the same boat!  2 Girls and a little boy on the way.  I am due in July, how about you?  How old are your girls?  I have an 8 year old and 3.5 year old.

    Good luck with your pg....

    :)

I am glad they were right for you although I do believe it was probably a lucky guess on their part. They were wrong for me and I was angry for a long time, didnt even want to be pregnant. I think the hardest thing was being stuck in between, the constant waiting and wondering until the ultrasound to confirm if TMPOB were right or wrong- what agony. I have never told anyone that I took the test as Im ashamed I got sucked in the first place. My Dh just said "Told you so" as he was against forking out all the money for something he was skeptical about, I wish I had listened. Congratulations on your little prince, you will love raising a boy!
