My VIOLET has a STEM :(

my 3rd son and my last baby/only DD plays great together. the dont know anything about gender until about 5 or so even then it doesnt mean girls are with girls and boys with boys...my oldest son has mostly female friends!

What does STEM stand for?

 

Anyway like others said, your DD is not going to hate you b/c you are having another baby on the way. How can she.she's only 2. I'm sure she'll love him like a live baby doll :)

 My DD was born before my DS (35 month--almost 3 years age gap). Everyone wants a boy first and then a girl or at least that is what it seems like. They believe the boy will protect the girl---if the boy is older. Although this may be true, I am so BLESSED I had a DD first and then a DS. She is more protective of her little brother than even I was of my little brother. She is extremely helpful and understood when he was a baby that he needed mommy. She is independent, strong willed, etc.

My DS is the most gentle soul on this planet. Kids surprise you--my DH is a manly-man and out popped the most lovable creature on this planet. I actually wanted a smaller age gap between two kids, but 3 is turning out to be AMAZING. My little man completes our family and I can't tell you how wonderful it is and lucky HE is to have my DD as his older sister. She is sure lucky to have him too. Trust me, you will absolutely love the age gap/gender difference. I promise you that. 

i think she means stem as in it has a penis. hang in there sweetie, i think penis's are great and you probably don't mind your husbands so much. lol. plus it covered by a diaper about 90% of the time.

 As for the original post, your daughter is not going to hate you.  She is just a kid and I am sure will love having a sibling period.  As for the 27 month gap, I think that is perfect!  All of my kids have about a 23-24 month gap and I personally love it that way.  I wouldn't have liked them being closer in age...but that's just me.  Good luck hun and I hope it gets better for you!

My grandmother has been using this line for decades now haha.

When I came back from my scan she was like "please tell me your violet has a stem" :) she is a riot lol.

Im feeling a lot better lately. Obviously, I need to move forward and be positive. I refuse to let my emotions get in the way of my parenting ability with my daughter.  I really really think my biggest worry now is the 27 month gap, I just worry its too soon for another but from what I have been reading, it would appear 2 years is a wonderful gap! You all have helped so much! thank you!

don't worry so much, right now its just fear of the unknown. you are so used to girls, me too. i promise you after they lay that swet baby boy in your arms all these feelings will melt away. your daughter will beg to hold her baby brother, and that mother/son bond is something very special. we can do it!

To original poster.. I don't have a DD, but I do have two children that are 22 months apart, and boy are they the BEST of friends... They actually get mad and whine when the other won't play.. haha    It's funny! 

My last 2 are gonna be about 10.5 months apart..  and I am sure they are gonna be super close!!  It will be like having twins!  haha

HAHA...  Speaking of..  my DS2 (who is 6) .. literally JUST walked out here from waking up and said "Guten Morgen!!" to me....     haha    and we aren't even German!    I love my boys!!
