GD rearing it's ugly head again... My sis in law had a baby boy today:(

So just when I thought I was finally rising above my gd my sister in law had her baby boy today and he is so gorgeous and ofcourse she now has the ' pigeon pair'! So ofcourse here I am feeling sad and sorry for myself:( why can't I just be content with my two beautiful little girls ( who I absolutely adore mind you) but I just can't get it out if my head, my life feels so 'incomplete' right now. My dd2 is only 7 months old and already I am trying to convince my dh to sway for a boy in a few months and he just can't understand what my rush is or why I can't just get past it?! I feel like he thinks I'm nuts ( which maybe I am lol) but I just can't get it out of my head/ heart!! Sorry vent over!! Time for me to toughen up!! Xx

Hey hon, that's the worst thing about GD is you can be SO happy and content and feel like you're finally OVER it already, and then it comes back to bite you in the a$$! Case in point, lately I've been feeling so happy and content and loving life with my 3 amazing boys, but everytime someone gives birth to a girl or announces "It's a girl!!!" on FB, etc, I go through a day or two of GD hell! I feel very "incomplete" too. HUGS!

I couldn't have said it any better myself.. GD is awful and I wish for everyone to not have to deal with it. Or at least overcome it.

Thanks Dreaming!!! I am really praying you are carrying your girl!! It's funny b/c I actually MEAN it when I say to you I truly wish pink for you! When I say the same thing to people IRL or on FB etc, I SO don't mean it!!! lol After a few of the same gender, we damn deserve to get our girl/boy!!! Hope we are showered with pink dust, Dreaming, and OP, I think I can speak for Dreaming when I say we both are giving you ALL of our blue dust!!!

I totally agree.  I have been thinking lately that I am totally fine if we have another boy and I might even prefer that (I love baby boys) but then either someone has a girl after a boy or I see so many people with pigeon pairs or someone makes a comment and I feel it all over again.

My SIL had a girl a year ago (after a boy) and as much as I love my neice, it still hurts me a little.  Especially cause my mother keeps saying "I can't wait to see what dress (neice's name) is gonna wear to the party" or other girl comments about her and she has no clue why it bothers me and doesn't get it.
