to the ones wanting specific gender

There's nothing better than hoping and praying for the specific gender u want. But has anyone thought of praying for a healthy baby. All I wanted was a Girl to have a complete family. And I sure got her and I'm thankful. But as I found out its a girl I also found she had some intestines going into her umbilical cord. More u/s have been done and yet we came out with worser news. She has a small stomach, deformed liver, hole in the heart, and disformation of the skull which can can cause brain development. I've been told my baby has possibilities of T13 and understood, what I understood, baby wont survive after birth. I have gone through a FISH testing and Amnio, but have to wait for results. Its killing me the wait! I've been hoping and praying for DD and this is what happens to my daughter. It all seems like a bad nightmare. And hope and pray everything will turn out to be a mistake. Justgiving advice to all parents. Pray for u desired gender but the health of the baby also. Because from what I've learned... don't tale life for granted!

Dazzledmmy- I am truly sorry for what you are going through! My first with my hubby was born with disabilities and we have learned to just take things as they come. Not sure if you are religious, dont mean to offend if not, but, I was ANGRY at God for what he had done to me.....here i was young and faithful all of 19 and we had no clues b4 she was born. Due to her issues not being confirmed genetic they said that it was just an oops but that it could happen again with another daughter! We have taken huge leaps of faith as the girls we have 2, 5,7 were all birth control babies! This time we took a leap of faith and did all we could without medical science and until I know its a boy i will not be able to really relax until D day! With our last 2 daughters they wouldnt even let me hold them until they had checked them over and run tests...its truly heartbreaking to go thru things like this! Feel free to write and vent ANYTIME!

 I thought it goes without saying? I always pray for a healthy boy and not just a boy.

I have been following your posts and couldn't come up with the right words. As I was on Facebook this morning, this story popped up on my page. I thought of you and how it might help you (I hope). I realize we don't all agree on abortion, but this story is still inspirational none the less. It proves doctors while able to diagnose, are not only sometimes just flat out wrong (as I hope and pray in your case), they are sometimes off on the prognosis. This little boy was given little to no hope and look at him now! I pray for the best outcome possible for you and your baby girl!!

 You are absolutely right!  I always just want a helathy baby. 

YES and YES! I was so upset when we found out baby #4 was a boy too.....until they said he had a birth defect and they couldnt tell me just how bad it would be. We went to specialists and had many, many ultrasounds to try to define the extent of his problem, only to be no farther ahead until his birth. But that knowledge totally overwhelmed and made my desire for a girl seem so very petty. Don't get me wrong....I would love a daughter...but first and foremost, a healthy baby of any gender is better than what we and so many other families have been through. Two of my friends had babies in the last 12 months, and both babies passed from their birth defect, one at 27 days and one at 3 months.I look at my baby every day and I don't care that he is a boy. I'm grateful he is alive and healthy after surgeries. He is so sweet...I can't imagine being without him.

huge hugs, i am thankful that health is all that mattered to me, sure I would have liked a boy, but hey my two little girls are my babies, love them forever with all my heart. Have strength xxx

Abortion is such a touchy subject. I am not here to argue my side. I just hope that just one person can be helped with stories like this. I'm sorry people are giving you a hard time about it! Prochoice or not, the point is for anyone that the doctors can be wrong in these cases, so why not give that baby a shot at life?
