UPDATE 4th July: pregnant....tamara help--- anyone?

Hiya,

My cycle length is 27/28 days and the first day of AF was Feb 15. I should have ovulated on the 28th or 29th but on the 22nd of Feb I had EWCM and I thought I was ovulating really early so I asked my husband whether he released himself at all and unfortunately he did that same morning and we ended DTD that night. I've been having cramps last few days and I'm convinced that I'm pregnant. I was going to sway boy but was wondering whether OH releasing himself that same day lowered his sperm count and whether that doesn't sway boy? I'm also thinking it was fake O and the spermies survived around 6/7 days until the real ovulation on the 28th/29th Feb. Even if they did I'm thinking that OH releasing himself that day lowered his sperm count which favours girl????

I had tested last week and it was negative and tested today twice and POSITIVE.....OMG cannot believe it.. one hit wonder.. the GD has already hit my husband and he's upset that he relieved himself the morning of 22 and we DTD on the night.. but this was 7 days after my period ended. I'm still shocked, just hope it is baby boy. My GD hasn't kicked in yet as I'm still surprised

I'm swaying boy too and although hardly any abstinence isn't great, I have read that it only really lowers sperm count if you have low sperm count anyway. Frequent Release has to be daily in order to really affect it. Although the actually sperm count won't be high, they will def be a fresh bunch of swimmers. Lots of Blue Dust these things happen for a reason

strawbell thanks, well OH didn't release himself for 4/5 days prior to the 22nd in AM, and in that same day at PM we ended up dtd as he was going away for couple of days . I had EWCM and I thought it was just a fake O as I had similar experience in the past. Are you saying that frequent release as in consecutive days for longer periods lower sperm count but not in this case. I hope this is true.. hope you get BFP this month and we'll be due in the same month

 Congratulations on your BFP. They say that each sample has the same amount of X and Y spermies so don't worry about that.I personally think timing is the key and diet etc....so I think you might get a little  after all.

amy78, I didn't check with OPK but I had EWCM and I thought it was a fake ovulation as I had that in the past couple of times. Bare in mind it was cycle day 7 that we DTD and I should have ovulated on the 28/29 naturally as I have regular cycles of 27-28 days with the odd ones of 26 days. I either ovulated very early or the spermies survived 6/7 days. I didn't check afterwards whether I was ovulating on the 28th/29th because I decided to take break until September so the moon phase would align with my cycle. I guess this baby was meant to be

It's a baby boy... still shocked!!! didnt get 20week scan photos as they were refused by the technician but will post 14 week scan photos tomorrow
