Hi mommyof3soon, you commented on my thread about the accuracy of microsort? thought I would answer here. I don't want to guess on your nub ..what I know about the nub theory is very biased especially since I know how you feel and believe it or not I still have hope that something will maybe grow...after being told it is a girl!! I will however hold thumbs for you. i contacted a fertility lab here is south africa before i fell pregnant with this little girl but things just never worked out and before I knew it I was pregnant. The lab told me I had one of two options, microsort where they wash the sperm to seperate the male from the female and then induce ovulation so that they can artificially inseminate, the chance of pregnancy is 17-20% and the chance of it definitely being the desired gender is 75%, the cost is only 10% of what option 2 is. Option 2 is ivf, where eggs are harvested and fertilised outside the womb, and the embryo is then genetically tested for gender and then only the gender desired is implanted. here the chance of pregnancy is much higher 46% but so is the cost!! I am seriously considering option 2 have time to save while I wait for number 3!!!
hope this helps, maybe you could find out in your area if there is a fertility lab that offers the same, not sure if there procedure and successes are the same?? i really know how you feel... and hope that if this is another little girl for you that you will hold on to your dream!! 2, 3 4 or 10 children..no difference to me!!!! still hard work and lots of fun!!,
