2 ww, causal observation

Quick update:

Turns out there are 2 in there, but unfortunately neither at this point have developed into a fetal pole and no heartbeat. At 7w2d, sac one measures 5w6d and has a yolk and #2 they wouldn't even measure (even though he appears to be the same size as #1) because the tech couldn't see anything in the sac! This is the same tech who a week before wouldn't even look at #2, she stated it was an "echo". Last week sac one didn't have a yolk either, so I'm hoping they are both slow to develop. Pissing me off that the techs aren't being thorough!! I understand there are other women waiting to be seen, but for what they charge vs. the service they provide, they should be fined! So I am done with that clinic and will only see my ob-gyn now. At least they will give me an honest answer.

Need all the good vibes everyone can send to hope that these two little sacs develop into 2 healthy little boys :)

Maybe its just too soon?? My OB/GYN office does not really want to see you until you hit at least 8 weeks! 

Most recent case like yours on here,  3ForMe thought she had a blighted ovum for similar reasons and I believe she is over 6 months pregnant or so, I wish she would post an update ; )

So I would definitely think it might be too soon and I hope you have at least 1 healthy baby boy!!

Hi Tinksmagic,

What happened at your first u/s?  What did the 1st one measure?  So when you say the second one looks like the same size as the 1st one, are you talking about the sacs?  Praying that you have at least one healthy baby in there.

 Praying for you Tinks as well that you have at least 1 healthy !! Don't give up hope just yet!! I have heard WAY too many stories of people being told a PG is not viable and they carry to term!

tinksmagic, I'm so sorry to hear about your ultrasound. Do they have any explanation for the slow growth?  Could it be because of IVF and embryo growing slower?

When is your next ultrasound?  I  hope you hear good news!

Thank you! Quick update (again, lol)

Thursday I was having sharp pains in my stomach and my ob said to go to the er and get checked. After 6 hours there it was determined I was dehydrated, needed more rest, and have cysts on my ovaries that were pretty large and explained the pain. They did an "on the tummy" ultrasound and that's how they found the cysts. As for the "internal bleed" the tech saw that too but it is no where near the sacs and the dr is chalking it up to implantation bleed and not to worry. As for the 2 sacs, they're there, clear as day and both were measured. #1 measured at 5w4d and #2 5w3d (explains a lot more, stupid nurse at the clinic mixed them up!). So they are basically the same size. As for what's in them, the dr said it's too soon to say and even though IVF adds 2 weeks she said do not worry, everything checks out for a healthy pregnancy so far. My blood levels were 20,662 (she said adequate) and not to worry about anything! I have a follow up on Friday with my ob-gyn and though it's gonna be hard to wait, I feel a lot better now. I have to drink more water and take metamucil daily now to prevent any future issues in that department, lol. No real explanation for slow growth, they feel it's fine, so I'll go with it's fine. Not much I can do anyway about it except pray for the best.

I feel like I got better information and now know that the pain isn't something to worry about but need to keep an eye on the cysts. I'm fuming still at the clinic, clearly they saw everything as the er did, but did not seem to care how it would affect me.

 Congratulations!  That is so great to hear.  How far along are you?

I haven't been able to check in lately as all 4 of my kids were sick but congratulations!!! The fact that both measure almost the same is very good!! Wyatt and violet always measured w/ a day of each other and at birth were 7 lbs and 7 lbs 2 oz so they stayed close the whole time..my first set were 7lbs and 5 lb 10 oz at birth and measured sometimes a week apart.,and all are fine!!I'm very happy for you!!!

Lexi-Ann ~ last week I was 7 weeks, but the boys were only measuring 5.5 at best. That has me very concerned but trying so hard no to worry! I've got full-blown pregnancy symptoms so I'm just hoping they're slow to develop!

twin_mama ~ that's very encouraging! I'm scared to death to lose 1 or both and I was shocked they were only a day apart despite what the first tech said. I couldn't understand how 2 weeks ago she wouldn't consider the twin, then a week later it grew to catch up to his brother yet she still wouldn't count him cuz she couldn't see anything. How could it continue to grow to the same size as the first one without something being there???? Sorry your kids weren't feeling well, when 1 gets it, the others are soon to follow!!! Your sets were great sizes!! WOW!!! I can only hope at this point!

Friday can't get here quick enough!!! I was supposed to go today, but they figured it was too soon from last week. 2 more days to grow, right?

My fingers are crossed for you! But I really do think everything is fine! The fact that both sacs are almost exactly the same size is what makes me think that plus your betas have been great. And just a story from what my re said to me at my 3rd and last u/s with them--my 1st u/s all we saw was gestational sacs and yolk sacs,the 2nd we saw the 2 heartbeats,and when I went in for my last,he said let's see if that 2nd sac has a h/b..I was like huh?!we saw it last week and he actually argued for a minute til I pulled out the u/s that had the heartrate on it..my point is that some of those people(like that tech you had)are just stupid for lack of a better word and have no business saying anything because they have no idea what they're talking about.
