Do the correct responses post also?? or mostly just incorrect?

I think b/c of the anger and disappointment, people will find this board and post when POB is wrong. However, when it is correct, will they go through the same amt of work to find this board and post? I wonder if we are hearing so much about the "wrong" results and getting the statistics skewed.   Perhaps there are more correct results and we just dont hear them. Thoughts?

TTCJunkie Just thought I'd give u my opinion .... Most of the women who come to this site in relation to tmpob have either just done the test and are waiting for the results and are researching their accuracy or are thinking of buying it and are directed to this site as nowhere else really talks about it in great detail so my point is that they usually don't know their results at that stage so only post about the accuracy when they receive them .... I am one person who came here after doing the tests and waiting for the results and I'm so glad I did or I would have been even more devestated at my GIRL result turning into a BOY !!!! At least I was prepared that there was a possiblity it could be wrong despite their claims of 97% or so accuracy .... HTH xxxx

I thought the same thing you did.   I found this forum after I got a TMPOB boy result, and was hoping that it could be wrong.   I also thought people only posted when they wanted hope that it was wrong.  I think it would be nice if people posted right results as well, as too level the responses.  I for one, do not believe in the test any more at all, and think that a bunch of fat guys sit around and flip coins to predict TMPOB babies Happy Wink.   That being said, I was told boy at 10wks, had three ultrasounds and ladies here say Girl.  I took the TMPOB re-test and it came back girl.   I have received my refund check.

Well, I actually found this site years ago when I was trying to learn about swaying.  I didn't join though until I took PorB...and then wanted opinions.  I think 1 result wrong is too many though.  You can't claim that high accuracy with all the girls they have gotten wrong on this site alone.  Just isn't a good test!

I am one of those individuals you are referring to.  POB was unfortunately correct in my case.  After finding this website, I was so hoping POB was incorrect, but the results of my amnio was consistent with POB.  Therefore, I have been very depressed since this will be my third son.  I also did Fortunebaby website about the same time as POB and received girl result and as anyone can guess, I was hoping Fortunebaby was correct.

I have been reading all the comments on here about POB and am now feeling worried myself.  Did the test 2 weeks ago, I was 18 weeks pregnant, said I was having a GIRL!  I have 3 boys so I am very skeptical now about the accuracy and am worried I have my hopes up for a girl and it will be a boy.  I have an ultrasound on Thursday Feb. 14. The waiting is very hard, even though its only 3 days from now.  I Will post my results on Thursday!

ttcjunkie, you have a good, statistical question, and I have wondered the same thing.  However, we do have many women come here and post BEFORE they know whethter their test is right or wrong.  And those women also turn out to have wrong results also.  So I think there are some women, sure, who seek out this site only after they got the wrong result.  But if these tests were really as accurate as they claim, we should almost NEVER see a wrong result in the other group, the ones who show up before they know the answer.  But that's not the case.

Hello I am one of the ladies that recieved my boy result from POB and then googled the accuracy of the test and this site came up cos my gut instinct was so strong for having a girl I couldnt ignore it. After reading back on alot of posts in this section there was definitley hope. 19 week ultrasound confirmed girl and it was such a happy day for me, but I was really angry and saddened because for 10 weeks I thought I was carrying another boy and my emotions were a wreck and I probably placed a ot of stress on my baby girl because of the anger and deprfession. Lovely ladies like Chloe, Teresa and Pinkbabydust helped me get through it. I am currently awaiting my re test in the mail so I can hopefully get my money back. For an expensive test, that costs more than an u/s here in Australia, it is so inaccurate and really messes with women suffering from gender dissapointment I believe.

ahh thanks Teagan!    I just couldn't stand anyone feeling the way I did about that test, exactly like you described.   You already sent away for your re-test?   Let us know how that goes.   I don't really believe they re-test, I think I just got lucky because I bugged them so much  :)   I actually wrote on my re-test, called, and emailed letting them know that I had 3 ultrasounds that said girl.   I also got blood taken for the re-test (didn't do it myself)  do you think that helped?

Yep I will keep you posted, my kit should arrive on Monday, I just really want the money back cos we are quite broke at the moment and I cant wait another 4 mnths until shes born. But if it still comes back boy Im not going to second guess again, I already made that mistake first time round, I know shes a girl. I think the blood that you had taken couldve definitley helped cos I struggled to get mine out and had to use the tip of a knife to get more out, so my sample was probably contaminated big time. I would really love another ultrasound to see her again and confirm sex but we will just wait till she gets here. Take care, how many weeks are you now Chloe?
