North Cyprus Clinic?

All my numbers were great said my gynecologist in Holland and also Savvas (I dont have the numbers but I can search them if you really want). Savvas monitored me every other day. My eggs grew very great my lining was perfect it was all according to plan. Savvas told me that I was very fertile (and it's true because we did conceive our son very quickly). My husbands sperm was very fast so everything looks great. After fertilizing the embryos developed poor. Dr Savvas was really in shock and didn't understand what was going on. The only thing he can think about is that I developed endometriosis after my sons birth and c-section. But the strange thing is that I don't have symptoms at all!!! So it's really hard to believe for me..... Also it's hard to tell if I have it told my gp in Holland, only with an operation and still is the chance very small they can detect..... I took DHEA (just to be sure for good egg quality) with that cycle so maybe it's due to that, afterwards I have read stories that DHEA can also effect embryos in negative way especially with woman who have higher testosterone levels.....I hope that that was the case or just coinsedence and I don't have endometriosis.......

at least you have a reason whay you had a BFN. But I a cannot imagine that you recently and spontaneously developed endometriosis. However, now you have a new chance ... What about doing a tandem cycle (own eggs plus donor eggs??) - then you are on the safe side. In case your embryos should develop poorly again your can take the others. might be an option!

at least you have a reason for your BFN. But why should you develop suddenly endo?? strange. Hiwever, have you thought about a tandem cycle (they stimulate your eggs and a donor's eggs). so just in case it should be the same as last time, you are on the safe side. might be an option ...!

 sorry, twice, thought it had gone!

It was just my first cycle so I want to give it another try. With donor eggs it isn't my DNA right? So the child's DNA would be of my husband and the other woman? It just grow in my body right? I don't know if I can handle that thought....my son looks like me and I love to see things of me in him.....

 yes, not genetically you child. I worried about it a lot (my son also looks a lot like me and I this fascinates me as well!!!!)but as I lost my genetical girl because of a chromosmal defect (due to my age) I even want more a girl. I have only one child (like you one son) and I decided against a second child because I was afraid of a boy!! I feel ashamed for this a bit but it is the truth. though my son is the most wonderful boy in  the worl.Then, when I was 41 we decided to sway for a girl. nd we managed it - but it was sick ... For me it does not matter anymore, they provide you with a donor that matches with you physically - and in the end the personality of the child and its character is much more learned and adapted than herited. Do you know your FSH and AMH? Are syou sure it is within the norm??

Part of me is scared to try again if it dosn't work this time.  This morning test was negative also, I can see a very very very faint line (and only tilting it in the sunlight, lol)  but I think it is just the shadow of the line under that would come out if it were positive.   I fear spending so much money again for a negative and this next time would have to be with sperm and egg donor since my husband sperm is no good.  I think by time I spent the money again I could have paid for a good part of the adoption fee's it cost to adopt, but also when I adopt I don't always get a baby, maybe 1 year old.  

 Sometimes life just hands you lemons and you just arn't in the mood for making lemonade :(.

Tamera Their should be no line at all. I took a test when I was the 25th day of my cycle with my youngest child. It was a very faint line. Why don't you upload a picture and let us decide. It is a good sign if you have avert faint line. Still time honey"hugs" sending you loads of good luck wishes. The eggs may have only just implanted? I really hope you get your wish xxxx

Thanks Jasmine, I plan to test again in the morning.  I tend to wake in the middle of the night to go to bathroom, last night it was around 3am, is it best to test then or go back to sleep and test when I wake?  I am one of those people who don't normally sleep an entire night without going to the bathroom once. LOL I showed it to my daughter and she didn't see anything, I think my eyes are getting tired of looking at hpt's lol.  I figure if I don't see anything in the next 3 days then I should worry as Friday I will be 9dp5dt.  

I bet you are getting excited about your trip.  I plan to stay updated on you and what your thoughts are of the clinic etc.  I know I can't afford to do anything until summer so for now I just have to be patient.  Please try and keep us updated while you are there.   

I cant look at the Amh and fsh right now because it's in a closet and I can't open it because of other stuff (don't know how to explain it right....) but both the doctors (my gp in holland who doesn't know Savvas) and Savvas who doesn't know my gp said that the numbers were great. So I think I have to trust them don't you think? Maybe it was just bad luck and coinsedence.....I hope so......for now I don't want to think about donor eggs....I know there is also a procedure were they use just the fluid of the donor egg so the DNA will be mine.

LIS - I do not want to irritate you. Maybe the delay in development was just by chance. So hopefully your next attempt will be different.

 

Tamera wait till Friday. Don't torture yourself :( However if you have something it is defo a BFP but leave till Friday then it will be darker! I think all being well I will test on 9dp5dt! Lisva if your results are good use your own eggs! I hope it works for you :) This will be our 1 and only chance has we need to concentrate on our 4 boys. My eldest is very clever and will be off to college next year then Uni! So we really need to think about him to. I am torn because I would love a sibling for his youngest brother 14 months so maybe I will have 1 more boy? It's so difficult. But if it's meant to be my little princess will be here next year :) Good Luck Ladies xxxx

Tamera-do a bloodtest, at least you will know whether implantation have taken place. if bhcg is more than 5 is implantation. Saying that, there should not be a line unless its an evaporation line. Best to test every morning, dont drink loads of fluid beforehand,the first urine of the day.

Lisvna-Im going to Dogus because of the ethnic mix, other clinics in Cyprus only have Caucasian donors. This will be the last and only try, Ill be 45 when I cycle and dh and I said we have to draw a line at 45, nothing older. Everyone is different but for me Im no more doing anything about fertility after age 45, its the limit, cant cope with a toddler at age 50. At least if it works, baby will be 5 when im 50, old enough huh! I will keep checking out the board and email Genesis to find out if any mixed race donors. I have no problem with eggdonation, I give birth and its enough for us, its our baby, raised by us. I did explore eggdonation before when I had failed ivfcycles with my own eggs years ago but fortunately it worked for us in the end.

Hi girls ofcourse donor egg is a great option! But I'm "only" 34 so I think I have a good change with my own eggs, it was just my first cycle.... If after 3 cycles we doesn't succeed then I can think about other options like donor eggs, but for now it's too early to think about that (it was just one cycle...)
