Not sure where else to put this, but I thought I'd post some links for those of you in the U.S.... I just jumped through the hoops to tell telemarketers and banks to STOP calling and sending their crap to me!!! I had my phone numbers put on the national "do not call" list (again) for solicitations and had my name removed from the junk mail list for credit card solicitations. Here's hoping these help someone else:

sending credit card offers for five years - or permanently if you print it out and send it in.)
And while you're at it - go ahead and print out your credit report! It's free once a year from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus. You'd be surprised how many errors you can find on these things that need to be fixed (like credit cards you've cancelled but show they are still open or accounts you thought you closed, but never were.)
