So confused! Swaying for a girl and the girl diet contradicts the pH diet

I tried for a girl with the Shelltles method for my first, and he is a boy.  Then I tried O+12 with the second and he is also a boy.  Now I am even more desperate for a girl...and I am almost 41, so unfortunatley I am also in a hurry.  As for the diet, I simply cannot eat food without salt...I litterally have a gag reflex with it.  So I was goign to try the pH diet.  But from what I see on here and on the cookbook, they are like opposites?  I was happy when I saw that I could cook my hubby and I meat and cheese and beans and breads (he hates fruits and veggies) on the pH method.  But then in the girl diet cookbook on this site, it kinda goes the opposite way on what to eat.  And so caffeine is bad for swaying a girl? Is this only during ovulation?  And is this girl diet/low salt thing also only during ovulation?  I also heard about this biorythms chart thing...and how this month looks favorable for a girl...and is the last month favorable for a girl for several months.  Anyone put faith in this method?  I didn't know about it last time and wish I had because their chart said my two boy conceptions were favorable for a boy.  I would have changed months to conceive. I guess I just need some guidance on what to do to sway for a girl.  I was leaning toward pH and biorythms.  But I wanted to get some opinions.  Thanks!

Hi, I will try to help with some of your questions. Honestly, I would stay away from red meat no matter what diet you are going to follow. You really do have to watch your sodium, I know that food sucks without salt, but there are a lot of studies backing up high sodium = more boys. Ok so the Ingender diet says caffeine is bad for swaying girl *I think* because it inhibits calcium absorption, IG wants you to get all the calcium you can so that is why its a no no on the ingender diet. Personally I think soda, especially diet with aspartame, could be great for a sway because it can lower pH quickly. No, the girl diet starts at least 6 weeks from your attempt and continues til BFP. Biorhythms was right for my kids, it seems if its not right for someone it gives them all opposites, check your previous children and see if it was correct to see if your body is affected by such things.....HTH

I think a lot of it has to do with you and what you feel right about doing. I can say though that after I gave up my sway and found out I was having my 3rd boy (this was prior to him getting his angel wings) I was really devestated that I didn't give it longer or try harder. I was on a modified IG diet since I am vegetarian so I had even LESS options for what to eat.

There are some people that say swaying doesn't work, some people who swear it does. I think there is science behind many methods. I guess you just have to ask your self what you're willing to saccrifice and how you will feel if it does or doesn't work out how you would like it too. Happy

The PH thing isn't proven as far as I know. However, low sodium, low potassium, high calcium, high magnesium have been shown to produce many more females vs males in cattle!!! I think the low sodium thing is one of the most important things you can do on your sway. I am terrible for salt and found it the single hardest thing to give up on the girl diet. So much so that I stuck to porridge made on milk & sweetened with aspartame for one meal and chicken fillet & rice for the other for most of the time I was swaying. I just couldn't bear food without salt so I just ate the same thing day in day out.

Personally I think the high calcium low salt/potassium is important. But there was a girl on here who put everything into the low ph aspect and stuck to the ph diet and got her girl. Her sway is here http://ingender.com/cs/forums/t/205984.aspx

And here is another good post if you choose to go that way (that same girl had a lot of info in this post) http://ingender.com/cs/forums/t/218613.aspx?PageIndex=3

I noticed some contradictions on the diet too and I am only eating minimal raspberries, strawberries, cucumbers, and leeks because they are alkalizing, but they are a part of the IG diet for other reasons.
