Update from my Level II

I was feeling really confident again after receiving reassurance on here that my u/s pics from 15+2 really are convincingly GIRL.  Then I went to my 8 year olds baseball game yesterday and ran into two other moms from his school, both who I consider friends - and both who are mom's to 3 boys.  The first ran up and hugged me and said how thrilled she was to hear that the baby was a girl and it was so exciting and she couldn't wait to see how I dress her up  The other mom, says "Just so you know, they told me Ryen was a girl. Twice"  Now, her oldest is almost 14 years old so I know the machines/gender ID wasn't AS accurate then, but it just felt cruel to say that and NOTHING else to me.  So of course, I have her voice just replaying itself in my head over and over and making me want to cry. 

I really just want to see confirmation tomorrow - I am 99.9% convinced my baby is a girl - I know my doubts are not logical and I'm annoying myself that I keep letting insecurity creep in.  I will finally be able to just exhale tomorrow and not let anyone's comments set me back in my excitement.

Thanks for listening!  My scan is at 7:30am thank goodness I won't be torturing myself much longer!

All of my NT results came back great, so I'm anxious to see my healthy baby tomorrow and celebrate the miracle that she is!!!

Don't let your friend's comment get to you, i'm sure you have a pink bundle in there I hate when people say things like that. Just enjoy seeing your baby girl in there tomorrow

Oh I am sorry your 'friend' was so insensitive i think people are just not thinking.

You know I got some comments that weren't that nice as well after we announced this one is a girl. My mother in law said " You know it's not 100%, right?" and my sister in law totally misunderstood me when i said i found it hard to believe and said "Yeah, i bet you're worried she will grow a willy between now and your next scan" I then said well normally they don't at this stage and she replied " Maybe, it's just developing late" I just replied confident that I had seen the 3 lines and felt confident it was a girl but i must admit that i complained to DH after and watched the DVD again! Yesterday I watched it with my older boys that are 12 and almost 15 and i showed them a pic of DS3 where you see he is a boy, VERY obvious turtle and then i felt better, that was not at all what we saw and she looked SO carefully, i doubt it could have been hiding.

So yeah, just ignore her, as PP have said already, she is just jealous. My family in law are actually really nice and were also very happy for me so it wasn't the only thing they said, DH thinks they are just worried i will be disappointed. I think they are insensitiv but oh well...

I'm sure you will get confirmation today and after that you'll be able to relax. BIG hugs to you!

I have a friend that kept telling me the whole time when we were TTC that after 2 boys I had NO chance of a girl. I'd try and present her with the facts but it made no difference. And when we found out we were having a girl she said that she'd believe it when she saw it, because nothing was 100%.

This friend suffered badly from GD though, she had a second boy and I know that she was desperate for a girl, and she isn't going to have another child, so I just learned to tune her out.

I leave in a half hour - I'll update after the scan - I'm really excited to see the baby's profile/face again  I have to confess the last two scans I concentrated SO much on gender, I barely looked at her face

The tech was able to say immediately, we got clear shots of the 3 lines and there is NO DOUBT whatsoever in my mind - such a great feeling - I really need a rooftop because I am ready to shout it

I'll scan the picture this afternoon - I'm so happy we were able to easily get the shot and reconfirm!

Congrats!! October is surely looking like April was, girly!

When I was pregnant I was SO excited to hear girl!  I saw the ultrasounds and the lines (no goods sticking out at all!) and I was convinced.  Then I had a ton of people say, "Are you sure?  Ultrasound could be wrong."  "It's not 100%."  I even had a good friend of mine (who KNEW I wanted a girl so bad) constantly tell me that ultrasounds weren't that accurate for girls.  You know what?  She came out 100% girl.

 You know what I learned?  YOU were at the ultrasound.  You saw the baby, the pictures, etc.  Don't let silly cows put fear into you.  People can be cruel and make you doubt yourself.  Congrats on your baby girl!!!!

Ive had this as well, i had two scans, my 20 week scan (at 21 weeks) and another one at 23 weeks as baby was moving that much they couldnt capture all of the spine.

Both times the sonographer told me girl (with the comment of it isnt 100% guarenteed, which i know they have to say) pointed out the three lines and it was a potty shot, ive seen so many threads on another website saying girl scans can be wrong, dont get your hopes up it is actually a girl etc etc. really makes me feel sick with nerves for baby's arrival !! x
