Gender Scan Updated

It's a girl!

26 hours left till my gender scan!! I am very nervous! My worst fear at this point is an non cooperative babe! I would hate being thus psyched up to find out just to be told they can't tell :( thinking about drinking something with caffiene before I go, but then I worry that bubs will be moving so much that they can't get a clear shot lol.

2 more days! Today is my last day waiting while DH works all day, time tends to go faster when he's home, so I am so glad he's taking a vacation day tomorrow on top of his regular weekend off! Unfortunately, my mom came down with some virus, I really wanted her to be there since she was there when I found out dd was a girl, but I def don't want anyone else getting sick. I think they do Internet broadcasting, so maybe I'll try to get that set up so she can still watch :D

Only 5 more days left till my Gender Scan and I'm going completely insane! I've bumped all my nub guessing threads, but haven't had anymore replies. I don't know why I'm freaking out, the baby is what the baby is, and I should know exactly WHAT that is in just 5 days, but I'm losing sleep! Time has gone into ultra slow down mode, each minute feels like an hour, ugh! Saturday at 1pm central though, just keeping my fingers crossed that I get a good shot!!! I don't know what I'll do if babe has it's legs crossed!! ((Thinking about having a bit of coffee before hand lol, and I'm not a coffee drinker!)

Guess I'll know if you're my little girl or boy soon enough

 It's a shame how something so exciting can drive you so insane! Lol.

It's all gone pretty quickly until yesterday, I keep thinking that I only have 3 more days of regular routine, then DH is taking a vacation day on Friday and will be off Saturday for the scan and Sunday as well, so I know in theory that this should be one of the quicker weeks for me. But when I'm obsessing like this, well, I'm sure this week will feel like a year.

EEEK! This is SOOOOOO exciting! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for everyone to get their DG!!!! Wow, I can't believe how soon we'll be getting to know what we're all having!

I'm going to schedule my elective us tomorrow! I would have done it today but the office is closed on Mondays...grr! I can't wait! I'll have at least another 2-3 weeks before I find out and it's going to seem like an eternity!

Why wait so long? You're due around the same time as me, surely you could get one next week 

Yeah, I could get one earlier but I was hoping I could get a scan done on April 1st and then I can finally let people IRL know about me being preggo and make them wonder if we're just joking...LOL Plus, it'll be a 3D scan and when I had it done w/DS2 I thought the pics at 18 weeks were amazing! At least that's what this office recommends anyways. Maybe I'll talk myself into an earlier date and not tell anyone until April Fools day! LOL

I don't plan to do the real 3d scan until 28weeks, that's what my ob recommends, because the facial features are well developed & there is some fat on the baby, he also does it for $80 at that time, which is much cheaper than all the elective places around here. The package I'm getting done Saturday is $100, it's for a 10min scan (though last time I got 20 anyway lol), they give you a dvd of it, determine gender, a mommy kit, and a couple of 3d shots. My display pic is actually one of the 3d shots they gave me from my dd at 16wks.

The April Fools Day is a great idea! They won't be sure what to think! 

yeah, what I'm having done is a package deal. For $190 (so $95 a session) I get 2 3D sessions (one at 17/18 weeks and another around 28 weeks for the cute baby fat shots), for 30 min each and the first scan I get basically a gift basket full of stuff. And it comes with a cd and dvd for each session with so many shots.

But I could just go at 16 weeks for $75 and then pay like $150 for another scan later...lol. Just what I mentioned above is their "package" deal that they have listed. Which ends up being a really good deal overall to me. And yeah, I have a lot of patience....sort of...LOL!!!!

 Oh, that does sound like a good deal! The elective 3d scans here are 120 per 10 min session! The 2d gender scan is $60, but that's without all the fun stuff lol. Ooh well, that's what I get for living in an over priced state!

Wow! You're getting down to the wire! Do you think you could watch a movie or something to keep your mind occupied? At least for a couple of hours!

I've been trying to play with dd and watch Disney movies with her, but my mind is focused on the u/s lol. I don't think it helps that I have TLC on now - A Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby, & Make Room for Multiples. What am I doing to myself?? Lol. Thinking about working on my latest CG project, but I have siatic ((sp?)) nerve pain and haven't been able to sit up straight in months ;(

LOL!!! TLC is evil for that! I know when I was home (even after having DS2) I was watching all that. Kinda hard to keep your mind off your u/s when you're watching stuff about babies!

Sorry about your sciatic pain! Wish I had some helpful tips for it. Maybe alternating heat and ice?

TLC is evil! Lol. I was addicted all during dd's pg and for a good 3 mths after, and it started right back up after my 8wk scan this pg. There's a good 3-4 hours of these shows a day, I just recently stopping watching the early episodes & turn on nickjr for dd instead, but from 12-2 I'm glued :P.

Tbh, I'm not 100% positive that is what my problem is, but my reg dr won't listen to a word I say. Back in August I started working as a cna just to get out of the house & in Sept I started having severe back pain. Told the dr & he said I just need to stretch more, but it kept getting worse. It got to the point I couldn't even sit long enough to feed a resident and I nearly dropped one. I could hardly stand still after awhile. So I went back to the dr, he said the same thing, but I told him this is not normal, I have a history of severe kidney infections, and to test me. I did have a ki, but he only gave me reg uti antibiotics. The pain went away in my right side, but my left side still kills me. I ended up putting my 2 weeks in because I was afraid I would really hurt a resident. Afterwards I went to the ER, they gave me all sorts of pain killers & did an exray, my left hip is more elevated than the right, they said to have my dr give me an MRI, but he refused, saying I am too young for real problems. Then I found out I was preggo, so I'm kind of stuck in limbo with the pain. So far the best thing I can do to help it is to put less or no pressure on my left side, hopefully I can get it taken care of soon after birth.
