then I'm pregnant with quadruplets. Oh my holy goodness, I was on the edge of my rope all day today. Harangued my older son (who, in all fairness, was being a little s*&t), and just sobbed and yelled at my husband for something annoying but NOT worthy of sobbing and yelling. It did feel good to let it out, though!

I'm sure it's just the weight of this year of treatment, but I am a lunatic right now! Goodness.

Starting IVF/PGD for a little girl on 5/26/2010

IVF 1: right ovary inaccessible, no transfer (no normal females out of 4 embies)
IVF2: cancelled: severe allergic reaction to Lupron
IVF3: no normal females out of 5 embies
IVF4: 7 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized - frozen to batch PGD with last cycle
IVF5: 7 eggs retrieved, 1 fertilized. Fresh + frozen to PGD = TWO HEALTHY FEMALES! Transfer 3/11, BFN
IVF6: 6 eggs retrieved, 3 eggs fertilized = ONE healthy female! BFN
IVF7: 1 egg retrieved! :-(, fertilized - frozen to batch PGD with *last* cycle
IVF8: 5 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized, 3 grew, batched with frozen = ONE healthy female! Transfer 3/4/12 - BFP!!!

Thank you for your sweet thoughts girls. I'm mostly just venting, but it's driving me crazy that I'm still HOPEFUL. I want to lose HOPE. I want to give it up. I will keep plugging along, but would rather not feel optomistic - it's like an invitation for failure.

Yes, I'm crazy. Ugh. Not tempted to start testing yet; maybe Saturday? What do you think?

I would hold off until at least the 16th or 17th, but Sat. will definitely be safe, and I'd trust the test results by then (if you really can hold off for that many days!!). Prior to day 6 post-transfer, there's a good chance you'll get false-negatives, although sometimes there are day 5 BFPs around here. Good luck!!

Your post made me laugh - on my last cycle, the night after ET, I got so mad at my husband over something really stupid. I had been on bedrest for almost 36 hours and then all of a sudden I was literally stomping around the house in a rage, then I just burst into tears. DH got so upset and he told me if I lost the embryo because of my craziness, we were not going to do this again (luckily he didn't mean that!).

I love love your positive attitude though. I still think that part of the reason for my BFN was that deep down I didn't really believe it was going to work. I am really trying to work on that for the second cycle, because I believe in the power of positive thinking. It seems like you are good at that part. I bet you do end up with twins!! Happy LOL

I remember snapping SO easily in the days prior to a BFP.....and then for another 9 months. Another HUGE very sign with me prior to my beta was my sense of smell - very, very heightened. Can't wait to hear about your BFP soon !!! MS/PGD/IVF

I started getting shorttempered this Saturday and that's when I first noticed very very pale second line.
