    TMPOB...I can't believe it!

I got my results today of my re-test. (First one at 10wks said boy) , and I was shocked....It's a girl!    Thanks TMPOB three ultrasounds already told me that, you just screwed with my head.      As soon as I read the results I called them, I didn't tell them my name just that I had received the results of a re-test and they new exactly who I was.   They said, "Oh good, you're Joel (under my husband's name) well the re-test confirmed the ultrasounds, we were just getting ready to call you."   They said  they will mail out a check for 285.00 dollars on Friday, and to give it 10 business days to get to me.

I'm shocked!  Really, I thought I would have to argue with them even after the birth.   They also said that it was a clear, totally girl reading....(well I am 30 wks almost !!!!)  I told them about getting blood drawn for the test and not using the finger prick, they said that helped............Whatever.....  I just hope that the check comes in and I can put it behind me.   I hate that it has hurt so many people and stirred up so many emotions.   I just wish that it would be taken off the market or become completely accurate.

I will continue to post on this forum and spread my experience to others.     I feel like when I first started visiting in-gender this forum was quite busy, but I do not feel that way now, I wonder if TMPOB is noticing any business let-downs?

Teresa:  Keep me posted on the progress

    Teagan: Any news yet?

Wahoo Chloe! Yay so glad you are getting your $$ back from them and good to hear they arent mucking you around! Bet it was awesome to see your little girl again, you must be convinced for sure now! I have also noticed that there arent many new posts in this forum too, hmmm interesting.

Well my  19 wk U/S is booked for next thursday 24th, I will do a post the day before to remind everybody and get muster up some pink prayers, as you know, the doc couldnt tell me sex at 15 wks, dunno if it was cos he couldnt tell or he simply didnt look for sex (It was a bit confusing for me dont remember much as I was so nervous ,he just brushed it off and said wait till my 19 wk scan). Hopefully if he did have a look but said it was too early then maybe just maybe it could be a Baby Girlas boys are obvious at that age! But dunno if he even looked.

Thanks for letting us know how things went!

Sorry I just re read your post, I thought you had another ultrasound but you meant TMPOB gave you your results sorry! This pregnant brain of mine!Happy ROFL

Glad they are giving you your money back.

They never cease to amaze me.  Why the heck do they do RETEST anyway...what is the point?? By the time you can have an u/s it's pretty much obvious they were wrong!  No back tracking!

    Re: TMPOB...I can't believe it!

Hi Chloe, so you took the first test at 10 weeks and then the second test at 30 weeks? i took the TMPOB test at 13 and a half weeks and they said boy. In fact, they told me that they ran my sample twice. But that was the second time I called (once I received their e-mail). The first time I called was because they were late with my result and their excuse was that one of the tests they run was not up to their standards so they wanted to re-run some tests the next day since their lab was closed for the day. But I got their e-mail with the boy result that same night that I called!! When I questioned them the next day about how it was possible to run the tests if the lab was closed she said that the other person I spoke to must have misinformed me and that they re-ran my tests that night because they saw that I had paid the rush! it all sounded so suspicious because they e-mailed me the result at 12:00am and their lab was supposed to be closed. What, they worked overtime to re-run my sample twice? I wonder what these people are up to. I also asked if they could picked up on DNA from my previous pregnancy (my son is 21 months) and they said no, because my toddler's DNA would be different from the fetus. I am sure I am having another boy, I feel it- it's a hunch- but based on my experience with TMPOB i am not so sure they are accurate either. They have a 50% chance of getting it right anyway so that's already a big enough number going their way. They probably make tons of mistakes (based on everyone's posts). Maybe they get it right like 65% of the time. and if that's the case, i agree with Chloe, it should be taken off the market. also, it seems like it is a tiny business with 3 or 4 people probably working there, though they make it sound like it's some huge corporation with all their scientists and BS! Everyone seems to speak to the Anna girl (I called 4 times and it's always Anna or some other girl), both have foreign accents and i bet there's like one or two "scientists" working on the samples. it seems very suspect.... i am praying that they were wrong and that my hunch is also wrong and that we are having a girl. I will know in 2 weeks at my 18 week ultrasound.
