DAILY UPDATES!!!

Just a quick update that our baby girl Karalei arrived Mqrch 6th @ 12:37am (at 36 weeks, 4 days). She was 7lbs, 8oz and I was in the hospital for 3 days before they delivered her via c-section. I'll write my birth story later as it's quite long, especially since she was pooping blood the moment she was born and had to be transferred to another hospital specifically for (sick) children. Anyways, we both got to come home yesterday and we love having her home. Will write everything later and include a picture. Hope all you other March Moms get to deliver VERY soon!!

CONGRATULATIONS, PATEYFACE!!!  I can't wait to see pics of your sweet baby girl!!  I hope all hers (and your) health issues are all better now.  I can't even imagine what must have been going on!!  (((HUGS)))

As for me, my c-section is tomorrow!!! Iam packing as we speak...then off to wal mart...costco...and the grocery store...it sucks getting paid the night before. Everything is so stressful right now. Had my last ever OB appt...ever in my life. Kinda bitter sweet. Last appt....last baby...but now the new chapter in life begins! Please pray that the surgery goes well. Iam sooo scared!!

Well the night before last I was awake most the night with lower backache and baby was very quiet yesterday too but her heartrate was fine when I went to see the midwife and my bump seems to have shrunk alittle maybe b/c it has dropped.  I also got bloods taken to see if I am immune to chickenpox as there is a child in DS3 class has it.  Still got lots of pressure last night so I had a hot jaquzzi bath with clary sage and went to bed exhausted fell asleep straight away and awoke at about 2.40am with lower backache and getting the odd contraction but nothing to strong.  I got up at about 3.30am and got a drink and a bowl of ceral as I felt very hungrysorted out some laundry then went back to bed.  Still unable to sleep with bad back and the odd contraction so got up about 6.30am and ran the bath and had a great soak very relaxing.  So now I am just sitting taking it easy hoping something is going to start and everytime I get up I do a few star jumps to help get baby down a little more and put pressure on the cervix.  FX I Have some good news before the week is out!!!

I am officially due today - and nothing is happening! Both of my boys were born on their exact due dates, so this is really odd for me! I really didn't want to be late! I have a Dr. appointment this afternoon. Maybe something will happen later today, but I won't hold my breath.

Well, I would have to give birth today in order to keep my record of all my kids being born on the 16th of the month, but I don't think that is happening, lol. 

My OB said at my last appt. that my cervix is low and soft and about 30% effaced, which for me is pretty good at this point in the game. He is going to to a membrane sweep tomorrow and he is naively confident that I will be in labor by this weekend. I reminded him I've had THREE sweeps done with previous pregnancies, none of which brought on labor, but he still thinks he can do it better or something.  I figure it can't hurt anything and might get me to dilate a cm or two. Managed to talk DH into DTD for the sake of things, even though it's the last thing on either of our minds! My sciatic nerve pain is so bad sometimes I can hardly walk. I just keep reminding myself of how AWESOME I will feel after birth. I think month nine is God's way of making us happy with our post-birth bodies, when at any other time we would be disgusted at the condition they're in. 

Sounds like you're getting close!!! I hope you can give us an update soon! I went to the OB today, and cervix is still unchanged...barely a finger tip dilated, and high up...so if at my last appointment on the 24th my cervix the same as today i'll be going in the night of the 27th to get the cervix ready for induction on the 28th...:) So only have 10 days left. I'm in the final count down...trying not to think about it, so days will go by faster...but that is easier said than done. I've just gone over the hospital bags, and final check list with DH, which I'll prob go over with him again next weekend...lol I will prob give another report on the 24th if I don't get on here before then...hope everyone has a good weekend! :)

Appt today - big fat nothing. Doc couldn't even do the sweep b/c my cervix was too high - I guess it's actually moved back UP over the last week!? He said I was like a fingertip dilated. So he's eating his words about this weekend, and I am just kind of laughing at him because I pretty much knew this was how it would turn out so I didn't get any hopes up.

Went to Disneyworld today and had a long walk around Epcot to try to move baby down. I think I frightened the employees.  But it was a good way to get my spirits up. Maybe that big "supermoon" I keep hearing about this weekend will bring on a few more of the March babies. 

 Insert some EPO vaginally, that should get things moving.

 Been there, done that twice, does nothing for me. My body ignores every "natural" induction/ripening method known to man. Sex, walking, EPO, nipple stimulation, black and blue cohosh, membrane sweeps...name it, I've tried it, all except castor oil, since I have no reason to think it would work when nothing else does and don't want to be sick for a day with nothing to show for it.  

Well I'm still here no sign of baby making an appearence.  Although lat night I was having an unbelieveable amount of BH.  Please let that be the start of it.  I really do not know if I will meet my little girl before my due date

Hey WIQ, I know its fustrating when we think we're on the verge of having a baby, with the BH and back pain, then it disapates and we're left thinking when will it happen !! You'll be meeting your lil Caoimhe very very soon hun, and every day your not on IG I'm thinking that this is it for you too !!!

 I'm nearly worse !!!! LOL !!!!

But you know, no matter what we do, these babies will only pop out once they're good and ready, despite us all tripping over ourselves to want to meet them !!!! You'll meet her very very soon pet, hang on in there, wont be long you'll have to wait,

 Still with you, too, WIQ. I have my 40-week checkup tomorrow and am  that my OB will be nervous enough about her size to go ahead and induce, whether I've dilated or not. I have gotten tired of trying to convince him that no matter how long he waits, I am not going to dilate before labor actually begins. Wish these doctors would give the benefit of the doubt - it's my body and I know its quirks. 

Still here I am going for a reflexology session today so hopefully that might trigger something and make baby decide to come out.

I'm still here too checking up on you whenever I can get on. Those monkeys are making it hard for me to keep tabs and I keep thinking I've missed something when I can't get on. Hope the reflexology does something for you to get things moving today. I'd hate the thoughts that you may go over your due date. All the EPO and RLT isn't working for you this time. Are you still taking them or did you give up?

AFM: Mia is still being an angel. Sleeping and eating all the time. Only waking once at night so that's great. DH is back to work on Monday and I hope I'll manage on my own with the 4 kids. Trying to get Mia into a routine is easier said than done when she is so young but it will have to be soon as I'll be wrecked.

I'll go now and have my breakfast before Mia wakes again for another feed. Hoping next time I log on you will have had Caoimhe.
