many many prayers for you!! she is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!!! a dear friend of mine & i actually spoke about this today. they lost their first several months ago. when she "dropped" her cord was not long enough and it pulled so tight that it shrunk to the size of a straw and basically starved her of O2 and food. they had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and everything was fine, again at 37 and another at 38 but between 38 & 39 when she had an induction scheduled is when it happened. they went to scan her one last time before setting up the induction date and discovered it. makes me so mad that they even have that 39 week rule and strictly adhere to it instead of case by case. but they are actually trying again now. they lost 3 others before her too. i will pray so hard for all of you!!

I'm so so sorry for your loss!!

My son had a true knot in his cord and was wrapped in it all the way around his body-the doctor said it was wrapped "like a barbers pole". He was born by emergency C-Section..and by the grace of GOD my doctor was at the hospital when I went in and she was able to notice a problem on the heart rate machine. If they would have waited 5 minutes more to deliver he would have passed.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Sometimes there are no reasons why.

You have been in my thoughts since I first read your post about beautiful Ireland Grace...It broke my heart to know that you went from the high of being weeks away from delivering your perfect and healthy baby girl to losing her in an instant.  I know, all too well, the heartache you are experiencing and the pain that comes with leaving the hospital with empty arms.  It never goes away, but the 'rawness' of it all will lessen over time.  Your sweet sweet Ireland knows how much she is loved.  Thank you for sharing her picture with us, she is absolutely gorgeous

I can't thank you all enough for kindness and compassion. It's so nice to know how much people care, especially all of the prayers. I am so touched that so many of you would comment and share with  me. It helps so much to talk to other mothers and those who have shared similar circumstances. I hope to be posting in the next month or two  that I'm PG again. And I have absolute faith that will be the case.
