 We are TTC a girl so fingers crossed and I will let you know as we are going to find out this time around on 23rd Dec! Nice xmas pressie either way. I didn't realise about the timing with the Lunar ovulation needing the sperm waiting so maybe that's where we went wrong in previous months.

The moon theory makes a lot of sense to me as each month I would monitor when I would ovulate and even the days I was due to ovulate in a girl moon somehow I would ovulate a day later or earlier, so always only in a boy moon. After a while it didn't seem a coincidence and according to Odan by me moving from Aus to London I increased my chances of only ever ovulating in a boy moon. Sure enough with friends with two boys and two girls they seemed to continually ovulate under those respective moons too. Hopefully this time it worked as I think I ticked the Shettles box as it was 2 days before as well as the diet so can't do more than that!

An interesting gender predictor for everyone that I just read about is that if you're pregnant with a girl the blood vessels under your left pupil form a V shape. Seems to be the case for me and my friend who also conceived under a girl moon but neither of us know for sure yet!

Just wanted to share with you, for 3 months in a row I did O+12 with lime douches and never fell pregnant (and I'm pretty fertile). I found it really hard and to this day do not know if it was the 0+12 factor or the fact I found out later that lime can kill sperm!

 Made me wonder if Kynzi was always destinedto ovulate in a boy moon and by waiting for 12 hours after the ovulation she had passed into a girl moon and that's why it worked??

I kept looking at moon calenders and moon signs,lunar O etc  and sort of realised that it is infact better if the Lunar O and menstrual O occur at different times....

reason is...as i'm ttc a boy if i dtd few days prior to the lunar O day as u suggested and if my menstrual O is not anyway near ...then i need not worry much that it may result in a babygirl. Hope i've not confused you..I dont know..what do you think?

Also wanted to ask you ..if a particular month in the lunar calender if the sign shows female...then should i not ttc boy that month? sorry for so many questions...i dont understand this moon thing at all.

omsairam, I know exactly what you mean. When they happen at the same time it is better in terms of fertility. But it is very hard to know if they will be on the exact same day, or one or two days apart. Because the moon sign changes genders every 2.5 days, it is easy to O in the wrong moon. To 'guarantee' the gender, Odan recommend you mark off CD 9-18 on your chart. If your lunar O falls outside these days, then they say you will have the predicted gender if you get pg.

You can still TTC with your menstrual O on a month when your lunar calendar shows girl. The main thing you need to do is check that you will O in a boy moon and not just before it changes to a girl moon, as it can take some hours for conception to occur. I do OPKs, and for me I seem to O around 30 hours after I get a +ve. So as soon as I would get a +OPK, I would check what moon will be happening 30+hours later, and decide if it is a good month to TTC.

I am planning to give my lunar calendar a chance, but if I don't get pg using that, then I will definitely be TTC when my menstrual O happens in a girl moon as well.

I am good by the way! But my DS2 turns 4 very soon, so busy getting ready for that!

Hi Taxi. I know, it is very hard to know what was the deciding factor in the end for her. I also tried O+12 and lime douches but BFNs. And the lime douche gave me horrible abdo cramps. The more I read on here and other sites, the moon theory makes sense. Some women do literally everything possible to sway and I read it thinking it was an amazing effort, and then they end up with an opposite. Then if I look at what moon sign they think they O in, it is almost always the gender they ended up with. It is definitely not for everyone, but I like it because I feel like I can sway while still keeping my body really healthy. Anyway, time will tell if I am right in believing in it!

 Wow this is making sense.I too believe in the moon sign theory because of what yousaid...that people try everything to sway  but end up with the opposite gender as they dont consider the moon sign at the time when the sperm meets the egg! Thanks for the tip...i still dont know how many days after a positive opk i actually ovulate...still have a long way to go but not going to be hasty.

So your DS2's birthday is round the corner..how exciting! I know the organising it bit is not very pretty but the smiles on their faces will be worth it

Make sure you write the month for your birth date, as it looks like you do your dates the American way! Also let me know if you still live in the same time zone as where you were born.

From what you said in your message, it sounds like your lunar O is due at the same time AF is due. Although not necessariy the nicest time to BD, it is supposed to be the second most fertile time to conceive with your lunar O. Anyway, happy to have a look and let you know what I think.

needalil prince, I did your astro calendar and it shows you conceiving a girl in April if you use your lunar dates. If you want to TTC with your menstrual O you can do OPKs to see what moon sign you will O in. If you usually O on CD 15 though, it looks like that will be a girl moon in April too. You can look up a calendar on Lunarium to see what moon sign dates and times are and then adjust from London time to where you are living. If I have lost you with all this info, then just let me know.

Does it have to be April? You have plenty of other months that look good for TTC a boy!

 Hi Peony, now I am really lost  I thought their is a boy symbol for April, no?  So confused...on the chart it looks like every other month is boy? Which months are boy?  It does not have to be April I just would have liked it than...2 of my girls were conceived in December and the other 2 May & June.  I thought April would change things up a bit  What do you think? I appreciate any advice at this point ..LOL

That's ok, we'll get there in the end! It really is confusing at first. Small arrows is the male symbol and small cross (downward) is female sign. So for you, Jan 12th is your next lunar boy date. After that, the night of March 10th, May 8th and so on.

I wouldn't rule out a month because you conceived one of your daughters in it. The moon signs change every 2.5 days, so it all depends on the moon sign when conception occurs. Also, you may have got pg with your menstrual O and this calendar is referring to your lunar O. Your menstrual O may well occur at a different time of the month, so potentially you could still TTC with that, so long as you will O in a boy moon.

 Thank you so much for your help  I think now I will be joining you in the TTc in January.  I usually O cd 17/18.. Hope that is boy territory?

Also was reading in another post that it goes by time of conception not by when we DTD..Is their anyway to have control of that?  Or do we stay as close to the boy/girl sign and hope it implants within 21/2 days before it changes signs?  

After 3 boys (1,2,and 5) we are trying for the little girl (again, lol). This will be our last child. I have seen other post the following info. Thanks in advance!
