Anyone else feel...

So hard to explain, but I will try. I am so excited and shocked that I am having a little girl. I started buying some clothes, but am afraid to take off the tags and wash them just in case baby turns out to be a boy.

I don't know why it is so hard for me, maybe after having three boys? I keep looking at the paper the genetic counselor wrote on and also looking at the CVS report which "says XX: no evidence of Y signal, consistent with a female karyotype"

Does anyone else feel the same as me? I feel like a dream and just am over the moon...but a bit scared too! ;) 

I have two boys and found out at 4 months I was having a girl.... Something I prayed about for a long time. But I didn''t let myself get excited. Then two weeks later it was confirmed and then the next week confirmed girl! I am still hesitant, I know it's a girl but for some odd reason I am not jumping up for joy. For me I think being sick for 5 months and having two boys to take care of keeps my mind so busy, but at night as I feel her moving all around I think of how great it will be to do girly stuff with her. I can see where you are coming from... for me I think it will hot me after birth!

I had the same feelings when I was pregnant with my daughter. It seemed too good to be true and even though I had 5+ ultrasounds that all said girl I was still in denial. You don't really believe it until she's in your arms.

Yep! me! I feel the same! I think it's probably natural when you've wanted something so bad for so long, you know? I've had 4 u/s say "girl" BUT I need her to be in my arms in May and for her to prove to me she's a girl! LOL xx

I absolutely feel the same.  I don't have the convincing evidence you have of a CVS report, but I've had two ultrasounds that said definitely girl.  I've bought pink, but I can't bring myself to wash it or take off the tags even.

 It seems too good to be true.  I pray that it is true, though!  For all of us.

I feel the same as you also, I had a u/s yesterday and after hearing it was a girl before I went to the u/s scared I would hear boy I feel so silly, can't understand how if I wanted so bad and I seen it so many times I can still be nervous when I go for an u/s.  I just cant wait to have her in my arms and do girly stuff.

I have no boys but yeah im over the moon happy to have a little girl this Spring!! Her clothes are washed and tags have been removed im that convinced.

After 2 scans of being told girl I still don't believe it. So much so I've booked a 4d scan to try and finally get my head round girl, my husband thinks I'm goin mad ! Lol

CVS is right most of the time but I did read that it CAN give a false reading of gender. Sometimes they pick up the DNA of the mother rather than the baby. If it shows XY it is always a boy but a few XX's are misdiagnosed and turn out to be boys too.... is that why you are doubting? I am sure you have a little girl in there though as it hardly ever happens.... Why not get a 4D scan to be 100% then you can see for yourself? Good luck!!

Wow, I never heard about CVS's being wrong! That does make me REALLY nervous now.

I was really feeling so excited and happy that my dream was coming true, that is why it seemed unreal.

I guess I better ask my OB on Wednesday during my appointment. Yikes! I hope this won't be taken away now that I know CVS results can be incorrect.
