How do I stay hydrated if I can't drink water? Help!

I know with pregnancy, you're supposed to drink an insane amount of water, but this time around, I'm lucky if I can get through a glass a day.  It makes me so nauseated.  How can I stay hydrated if I can't drink water or even Gatorade some days?  The only thing that always stays down is tea.

I would just drink tea.  (you could get decaf)  Have you tried lemon in your water?  It was a lifesafer for me when I was pregnant.

I'm right there with you.  I love nothing more than an tall glass of ice water, but I can't keep it down at all with this pregnancy.

I can usually keep down fruit punch gatorade and those capri sun things, so I drink those. I'm also drinking hot cocoa using water to mix it, that stays down.  Occassionally I'll drink hot tea.  And I can drink sodas okay, even though they aren't good for me.

I'm thirsty, so I know i'm dehydrated, but I just can't keep the water down. I plan on talking to my OB about it Tuesday.

I love lemon in my water, but something about water at home, even though it's filtered, just doesn't work.  Restaurant water is fine.  I wish I could get an ice maker that makes that really soft ice cause I bet that would make a difference.

Thanks ladies for the advice and the Agree to drink my tea ;o)

I have only found 2 things that I can currently drink, diet carbonated lemonade and the limeade's from taco bell. I talked to my dr about it and he basically said if that's all that will stay down then to just drink as much of it as I can. At this point, something is better than nothing. I can only get between 24-30ish ounces of fluid down. Before I was pregnant I drank a minimum of a gallon of water a day so I've been craving water bad, but it won't stay down. Don't ya just love being pregnant?!

 oooh..Limeade sounds good Paradise

I am the same way about water usually.  It's my drink of choice.  I guess my decaf sweet tea will have to do for now and I'll drink water whenever I go out somewhere...with lemon.  Happy Smile

decaff tea would be okay because IMO it is basically flavored water. Also try sucking on ice cubes throughout the day. The blue gatorade is not too bad if you get it really cold. I also tend to prefer to mix the gatorade with water so it is not as sweet.

I'm not sure what this is.  Do they have this in the states?

I had the same problem during early pregnancy.

I ate lots of fruits with high water content (watermelon, grapes etc).
