Hi ladies, I just have a question regarding the membrane between twins. The doctors said they think that the twins are identical because they cannot see a membrane between them. They share the same placenta (thus at risk for TTTS). They are still not sure if they are identical or if they implanted that close together. I was 8w at my first u/s and they said they didn't see a membrane, but who's to say there wasn't one. The doctor said it could be too early to tell. The twins were one on top of the other - could this be a reason for not really being able to see a membrane?
I am worried sick that the twins are mo/mo twins - because the success rate is not good. Anybody have an early u/s and not see a membrane - only to have one at 12 weeks and find out they are both in different sacs?
Any advice / stories would be greatly appreciated.
