Trouble getting money back fromTMPOB?????

My result from TMPOB was boy, and ultra sound at twenty weeks was a girl.  I called the company a few days later, and was told she would send me a test to retake the following day.  After a week went by, I realized I never received it.  I've been calling since then, and all I'm getting is a weird recording, and haven't been able to speak with anyone.  I did leave a message, but haven't received a phone call back.  I'm getting upset because obviously we know the test is not cheap, and I want my money back because it was completely worthless and caused me nothing but grief!  Advice anyone?????

HI Teresa what is the machine message saying it could be ur phoning when they're closed ??? I had to wait until I got my opposite result so it took me 2 extra tests before they refunded me .... it's so frustrating when they don't answer the phones and they never seem to reply to emails either !!! I really hope u get them soon xxxx

  Well, if it's not one thing with them it's another.  I called in November to ask what they thought I should do as far as taking a test now or waiting for a birth.   They said if I wait till birth all I need is to fax the birth certificate and I would receive a check 5-7 bus. days.   They actuallly sent me a re-test in October, after I was told 75% girl at the ultrasound, and I never used it.   I've been thinking about doing it now, but I'm scared that it will still say boy and I will be more upset, worrying again.  Also, the test was very hard for me to take, maybe nerves, but my blood would not come out.   I did go through with the 3rd gender screen on Friday, and the lady said, "IF this isn't a girl, I will come to your house myself and take all your girl stuff back, and repaint your room."  So, I'm feeling pretty good now.  So, maybe I will go thru with the test that I have at home and hope for the best.   I'm worried now about the message your are hearing,   I'm with Dazie, what did it say?  Did it sound like they were closed for the day, or closed forever?   If I take a re-test I will wait until I call them again and let them know that it is coming.   Have you tried emailing them?

Is it safe to mail birth certificates????? I'm kind of weary about that. 

The message says, "Extension 111 is not available" then it proceeds to tell you to leave a message and blah, blah, blah.  I sent an email yesterday so we shall see.  What a pain!!!  I'd probably be a little nervous about sending a birth certificate but what could they do?  I just wish the re-test would say girl and that would be that. Chloe.....it sounds very promising you're having a girl.  Have you already got the room ready???

I haven't even started a room yet!!!   I probably won't till Feb. or so.  I've only bought some sleepers and comfy things.  I bought one jumper and that's all.  I learned my lesson with my DS.  It's too hard and much to uncomfortable to dress newborns in all the fancy things.  So I will mostly likely continue buying sleepy clothes.   Nothing pink yet...just purple.   I will really GIRL her out when she is past that stage.  heheheh   What about you?

As for faxing the birth cert.  I may not have a choice, if my re-test was to say boy, I may have to go that route.  I guess the issue is stealing an identify, my DH seems to think there is a lot easier ways to get a identity then steal a fax.   I do want the money back, so I guess we will just have to see.  I will wait till after Christmas to do the re-test though, I'm too stressed now.  

FINALLY!!  I received an email back from TMPOB and my retest came today.  I figured I might as well at least try the stupid test again and hope my result is girl.  I scheduled an ultrasound for Friday morning just to reassure myself it's a girl.  I had a dream I did another ultrasound and it said boy, so that really prompted me to to this ASAP.  I haven't bought much either, Chloe.  Just not wanting to jinx myself yet.  Although, after the holidays I would like to sorta begin the nursery.  I don't want to get stuck doing everything at once and be rushed.  I'll let ya know how the additional ultrasound turns out.................hoping to still hear "it's a GIRL!"

The ultrasound will for sure say GIRL.  TMPOB is another story.  Please let me know what you get your blood results back from them, I will wait and see what happens with you before I send mine...I'm a big chicken...I don't want to prick myself again and again.  I literally had to get a razor blade to get enough blood out.   Oddly enough, no contamination

I finally did my retest 2 days ago, so now I'll anxiously await my results to be posted via email.  Hopefully they say girl so I can get my money back now, but somehow I doubt they will.  I'm going for another scan Jan. 7 and am hoping my little girl is still a little girl.  I've held off on the nursery, but do pretty much have things picked out.  I've bought a few things, but nothing much....just don't want to get my hopes up.  Hope everything is still going well with everyone.  Keep in touch..I guess the countdown is on for our baby's this year!!!

What good is a retest??  They still owe you your money back.  The u/s is much more accurate then that bogus test.  I hope you get your $$$ back!
