Well ladies i have been missing from this site for quite a while, i had been in and out of hospital since the end of April, due to severe pains not contractions but more like a stomach flu sort of pain, in any event after a few hospital stays and being put on medication for an ulcer i was sent home. On Friday the 5th of june i had my baby shower at work and was thirlled with all of things that we got, just felt so tired that day and couldnt stop running to the bathroom for nothing, then on Saturday was my baby shower at home with my family, i was feeling pritty good that day and had a great time, well needless to say that evening i was up from 10.00pm till 7 the next morning with constant vommiting and stomach pain, i did not want to wake my hubby up in the middle of the night as i was now getting tired of being told nothing could be done until the baby was born, well at about 7 we headed to the hospital, when we arrived the nurses just laughed and said i must of eaten something that upset my ulcer, but they started to admit me and check the baby whilst waiting for my gynae, so when i tried to produce a urine sample for them all i could manage was a tiny bit and it was almost brown in colouring, but me not thinking anything other than maybe im a bit dehydrated from the night before just assumed this was normal, well my gynae arrived about 10 minutes later he had a look at the urine sample and my heart rate and then all chaos broke loose, he imformed my that he would be delivering the baby now, i told him that i was only 35 weeks pregnant and that didnt he think that i should have a shot to mature the babies lungs, he told me there was no time for that, needless to say i had sent my hubby to take my kids to my mom thinking that i would just be booked in and monitored, i called him and told him what was going on, he only just made it back in time to meet me in the passage with the gynae on the way to theatre, i was then told that i would have to go under general as they were afraid of me having a seizure on the operating table, this was the only time that i realised that this was serious, little keira arrived at 7:45 am on sunday the 6th june, weighing 2.2kg, she was 100% healthy and could go to the normal materinty section straight away. I awoke in ICU about an hour or two later to be told that i had hellp syndrome and that they were worried about my kidney function and my liver was slightly damaged. I managed to see my daughter a day later and then spent another 6 days in hospital and had 3 blood transfussions. Im feeling alot better but have now got a 6cm cyst in my uterus and they are trying to disolve it. But i am so greatfull for my beautifull little Keira who now weighs 3.8kg at 6 weeks. I will try and post more recent pics of her soon, but here is her birth pic!
