I was a runner from May-October 2009, I actually found I was quite good at it and ran my first 1/2 marathon in Ocotber only to mess up my hip pretty bad. :( Then we moved in March of this year and with DH working so much and not knowing anyone around here even though my hip is healed I haven't run much at all. That's why I've focused so much on using these dvds to stay in shape. My legs have always been naturally muscular, I think it's hereditary as my moms are just like mine. I've been told by more then one person that I look like I am a runner and I'm guessing it's my legs. lol
I have several dvds I use, it may seem a bit obsessive but since I do it 5 days per week I like to not do the same thing everyday. They are all Biggest Loser or Jillian Michaels except one.
The Biggest Loser Cardio Max
The Biggest Loser Bootcamp
The Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout
The Biggest Loser 30 day Jump Start
Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred
Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones
Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism
Jazzercise Live
Since each of the Biggest Loser dvds have different levels and sections I usually use more then one dvd each day. For example this is what I'm doing this week (the days change based on DH's work schedule)
Sunday: The Biggest Loser Bootcamp (levels 1 & 2 ~ 35 minutes) & Jazzercise Live (20 minutes cardio) 55 minutes total
Monday : rest
Tuesday: Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism: (40 minutes of torture!! lol) 40 minutes total
Wednesday: The Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout (30 minutes); The Biggest Loser Cardio Max (level 2 ~ 10 minutes) & The Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout (Upper Body (10 minutes) 50 minutes total
Thursday: rest
Friday: The Biggest Loser Cardio Max (levels 1 & 2 ~ 30 minutes) & Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones (4 circuits, around 30 minutes) 60 minutes total
Saturday: Jillian Michals 30 Day Shred (level 2 ~ 30 minutes) & The Biggest Loser 30 Day Jump Start (cardio levels 1 & 2 ~ 10 minutes each) 50 minutes total
Sometimes I do more then one video per week or level 1 of Shred with other sections, it all depends on the week and how I'm feeling. I wouldn't say it's the easiest workout schedule but it has defintely given me great results. Just like maintaining my weight loss it's all a matter of trying different things to figure out what works best. I also didn't run out and buy them all at once, I used the exercise channel from On Demand for a time and picked up the videos every once in a while. The are all $10 and under depending on where you look.
I'm going to see if I can find a good "before" picture. I have some I posted before but they were all pretty much from the chest up as I never wanted my picture taken.
