Anyone for BumGenius ORGANICS?

I have been using pre-folds (Bambino Mio's) successfully with my DS, however; while I was in LA, lovely IG friend "Wannab" let me trial one of her new BG Orgaincs.  I loved the 'all in one' deal with no folding of the prefolds!   Well, I am now really tempted to buy 15 straight off, but before I do, I wanted to hear if anyone else has experiences with these diapers?  Especially use with a toddler.

TIA

love them!! I'm going to be selling off my pockets, prefolds & covers to fund a big enough stash of bg organics for both bryce & brady to wear Happy Giggle The only down side I have found is drying time, but since its summer now and HotHotHot it doesn't take them that long to dry at all.

Thank you for your reply!  They are really expensive here in the UK and I am thinking I should have just bought them when we were in the US.  I think if you buy the 15 pack, they work out at around $24 (£16) each here.  How many do you think you will buy for your two?

I have 12 right now and that doesn't quite make it for just Bryce w/ washing every other day so I'm thinking I probably need at least 20-25 more to be able to use them exclusively for both boys Happy

I really like the organics the more i use them!!! The downside is the drying!!!! I like to hang dry them to save the PUL but then I throw them in the dryer in the end anyways to get it all dried up in the part where it is sewn in and also to get it all nice and soft (they get a little "crunchy" on the line) I really like the 3.0 also... i just ordered 18 of those since they were on special (i wish the organics were!!!) they came out to 14$ us each (which is pretty good!)

Love them! They have been our main stash since Keegan was about 6 months old.

It takes me one dry cycle on medium heat for 80 minutes so not to terribly bad.

Thank you!!!  I usually line dry too and then finish off in the tumble dryer.  I wish I liked the 3.0 better, as they are MUCH cheaper.  I just love the idea of natural cotton right next to the skin (hence why I started with pre-folds).

I think I am going to take the plunge & go for it.  Do you think 15 will be enough?

That is not bad at all.  Have you noticed much wear from drying them this way?

Oh wow!  I would love 25 but I think my DH would freak out if I spent that much all in one go!  I am thinking of getting a 15 pack deal first.  Did you get a mixture of colours for the boys?  I bet they will look adorable in them together.

Oh no, I won't order them all at once....dh would freak out Happy Giggle but the 12 I already have are in boy colors- 2 each of twilight, grasshopper, butter, moonbeam, ribbit and clementine. I really need to get those others sold soon so I can order (hopefully) 12 more w/ the $$ I get for them.

The velcro ones I have are showing lots of wear but the snaps are still in perfect condition.

Both bought within a few weeks of each other.  They do not make the velcro anymore for the Organics so no worries there. I had just stocked up on the velcro ones because it was a 2nds sale on Cottonbabies at one time so I got them for like $17 a piece.

I only have Organic with snaps and they are the best! Like others said, very trim compared to the 3.0's and much less hassle (no stuffing). I find my dry on medium in one dryer cycle, about 80 minutes. They did have to be prewashed 6 times before we stopped having leaks.

Thank you for this.  I am going to buy them today!!  I have to order them online though so I don't know when I will get them but they really have to be washed 6 times??? LOL  Do you need to dry them in between?  or just leave them in the machine and wash continually??

That is good to hear!  The pre-folds I have now have velcro tabs and I don't like the way that things get stuck in there during the wash. It is YUKKY!!
