Micheala, why don't I get a low vj reading with ovacue?

I  am not getting a vj low with readings, should I change test timefor vj readings? I ususally do vj readings @ 9 pm. Should I try multiple vj readings when close to O to catch the vj low?

Here are my readings for April and May: note the over 400 vj reading in May before O. I got an over 400 reading in April too but I didn't make a note of it so I can't be sure if it was right before O.

I didn't get the purple ov conf in May like I did in April. Also, aren't the pink and purple ov conf supposed to be one behind the other not days apart?

Hmmmmm that is really interesting and I don't have an answer to that.  You are getting +OPK's right before your number spikes so you may just have to go by your OPK's as to when you are getting close to O but use the Ovacue to predict it.  This month doesn't make any sense though because according to the Cue you should have O'ed on the spiked reading on CD10, it stayed high after that so that is really weird.  You had a Cue Peak on CD7 last month and this month it was CD6 but your O days didn't follow any particular pattern based on your Cue Peaks.  

I guess I am at a loss for words and would suggest that you contact Lynn at Zetek to get her opinion.  Definitely let me know what she says though so I can help others if they have this situation.  I would email her everything that you just posted here.

[Lynn] The pink and purple ovulation confirmation colors are indicative of “secondary fertility” a term Zetek uses to denote selection of a secondary follicle and may not happen on every cycle.  This can happen a day or two apart and you should not worry about it.  We recommend intercourse every other day from the time the days on your calendar begin to turn the lightest color making sure to have intercourse on the pink, purple, and darkest colored days.  You will want to continue intercourse until the colors on your calendar turn back to the white color. I would really appreciate your help because I'm so confused by the vj readings. It basically just means your body tried to ovulate the first time but the egg was reabsorbed by the ovary and it decided to pick a second follicle to ovulate instead.

I don't understand where she is seeing the vaginal low reading in April?  I can see in May that you had 2 low readings followed by a spike but you did not have that in April.

Oh, that makes sense about the egg being reabsorbed and another follicle being picked. Could this have happened because I increased my B6 dosage trying to delay O and extend LP? I am taking 300mg of B6 now and want to reduce but I'm worried that it will screw up O or possibly cause a mc. I planned to have 1st attempt ttc girl around June 10th but AF came early... today so now that would probably have me Oing around the 6th of June. This is good and bad because I'm sick of the girl diet and hope to get a BFP so I can stop girl diet but I will have only been doing the diet for 5 weeks before my predicted O now! Your supposed to be on the diet for 6 wks but how much of a difference can a week make really? I am trying to decide whether I should just go ahead with my 1st attempt or wait until next O which would have me on the diet for about 5 more weeks!!! [:'(] I mean I have been so strict and not cheated at all... and it ain't easy!

Wow that is ALOT of B6.  I would not take any more than 200mg and even then that is pretty extreme.  You seem to have a 13 day luteal phase so I am not sure that you really need it.  Oh and your AF didn't come early it came right on time which was 13 days after it said ovulation confirmed.  Your O day is what moved up.

If you have never seen any then it wouldn't pick it up and blood doesn't really effect the monitor.  The only reason you don't do vaginal readings when you have AF because there is no need to as it is to early for ovulation.

I would go by your OPK's as well as the vaginal readings.  In April you had 2 +OPK's but in May you only had one so if you get a lower vaginal reading and a +OPK then I would assume that you are going to O soon.  Are you doing a cutoff or O+12? 

I was planning on O+12 but I'm not sure I will be able to pinpoint it. I am guessing I should O around 1 pm on the 5th CD12 or 6th CD13 so O+12 should be around 1am right?

Maybe a cutoff would be a better choice for me... but I haven't researched it at all. I have no idea how long of a cutoff I should do. What do you think?

I personally think cutoffs are impossible if you don't have a very regulated cycle so I would for sure go with O+12.  As long as you know you are going to O with the +OPK's and vaginal reading then you just have to watch for that shift in CM.  Have you noticed a shift in your CM?  I am not really up on all the swaying stuff but I know the basics.  LOL!

I have seen the shift I think... CM seems to go from WCM to CCM but what I consider WCM is probably EWCM. I think O+12 is easier to maintain low pH. But I am getting all kinda nervous a the thought that my 1st attemt could be 12 days away! I guess I will be watching my CM like a hawk and waiting for +OPK. Ovacue and FF have been dead on predicting my O so hopefully they will give me a good one this time too.
