My idea of a perfect house is a modern Brownstone right in the city.  Another thing I love are loft style apartments in the city with big open areas.  And lastly if I had to live in the middle of nowhere again I would want to build a modern craftsman.  I don't like the modern minimalist style as I do like comfort but I love cutting edge architectural type homes.  I love Craftsman's like this but I am pretty sure I will never ever live in a small town with this much land ever again....

I love old Victorians, if in town... but I want an old farm house.  Well, a new one built to look 100 years old. I love fixer uppers.

But the house we are moving into is a "Cottage" style because it's so small so we are going with  a more "country" decor with a splash of coastal. I'm so into the light colors and dark floors.

Love the Screen Door for the pantry and the open floor plan.

All the windows

See my blog to read and see more pics, some of them are a way down.

Missy I looked at your blog and you are one lucky ladyLove Ya!

My question is, are you going to do anything with that tall black fireplace thing?  I have one in the bowels of my house, and I don't know if I should have some sort of plan for it...I wish it wasn't there!  Will you keep yours, or what?

Awh, thanks. It's a dinky lil' thing, but it'll be home for awhile and that will be nice.

But as far as the wood stove, it's outta there.  I think they are great, at our last house I built a huge mantel around it, so it was kind of like a walk in fireplace.  But this one has got to go.  The brick around it is 5 ' x 5' ad our living room is only 13' x 15', so it takes up sooo much space, so I'm just ripping it out. Plus, our homeowners insurance goes down with it gone!

This! I've always dreamed of one. It's not really practical for a family, and very expensive, but as my DD gets older and I start to think of what I'll do when she's grownup, I think I may reconsider this as an option! No yard would be great, too!
Here to talk about mothering and more since I'm no longer TTC. I love to give support and advice!
