To all: I am very proud to say that In-Gender has achieved a reputation as a friendly, supportive place. I, and many others, have worked hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and this forum has reached over 100,000 posts with almost no friction.  I feel very lucky to be involved with such a wonderful, caring group of women who are so willing to help others.

At this time, to maintain the comfortable and friendly feel of the forums, I want to remind everyone that all posts must be respectul and kind to all other In-Gender members, no matter what.  This is the #1 rule (and practically the only rule) here. Even when discussing issues which are emotional and controversial, even when engaging in lively debate, an atmosphere of respect for one another is the standard that will be upheld.

Any post which contains a statement which is unkind, derisive, or a put-down to another member will simply be removed. Please choose your words with care.

Please note that removing a post does not mean I am angry at the person who made the post, that someone is "in trouble" or that I want them to go away; it only means that I want to prevent hurt feelings and argument. I realize that sometimes we can get carried away, get emotional, or do not realize that things have been phrased in a hurtful way or in an impolite tone. Please bear in mind that if needed, I will stand up for you, too.

Thanks to everyone for helping make In-Gender such a caring and informative place.

    Love, Maureen
