I've been researching what the best toys are for a 2 year old and I came across this weird thing called a Bilibo. Supposedly it's award winning and it has tons of good reviews. It looks pointless but I'm considering getting it for my daughter as a gift for her 2nd birthday.

My daughter really does have a great imagination so maybe she'll love it. Has anyone ever heard of it?

Heh, something so simple. It's usually what intertains them- right? A box, a bag...you go and spend 50$ on a nice expensive toy and they play with the wrapping instead. It's worth a try! I've never heard of or used it before though. I can only imagine my daughter trapping the cat under it and putting it on her head and ramming into walls. Happy LMAO

DS3 got one for Christmas from his grandparents (at my request because I didn't know what the hell else to get him...).

It's totally pointless.

I agree with Beebs. The kids I nanny for have one and they now use it as a bowl for all of their cars. Dumb

Well , I think it would be nice toy for my 3 year old ! I received bumbo seat on my baby shower and he is playing with it at the time- he put toys into it and "drive" around or he sits in it, he put it up side down and pretend that it is a cave for his animal toys, it was a mixing bowl today. I think it depends of the child.I think my boy would like it but also only for couple of days - he bores quickly and finds sth else to do ,I don't buy any toys anymore because my boys never play with it. They much better like some strings or old cable , some bowls or pots , baskets plastic cups etc.Old A/C adapters. Dog bowls. Chairs and blankets. I can go on and on. The other day they put ikea mammut seats apart and used legs as covers for their hands and pretend to be robots. we made awesome toy one day from coke bottle -we putted some small pieces of aluminum foil ,some rice and other small things and added water- they were playing with it whole day.

I think that would become a weapon against our dogs or continuously get frisbeed across the room, at my head, or down the stairs. It's a cool idea, but I'd make sure you could return it if it sucks.
