Baby hand and foot molds

Has anyone else done these? I have with all of my kids, and just ordered a kit to do DS#4's hand and foot. They are really neat!

I didn't click your link, but I bought kits at Michael's for DD (I didn't know about them for the boys, but did their handprints in the plaster with all of them).  anyway, I have pics in the arts & crafts forum.  I'll go find them for you.  TOO CUTE!!!  I still have to glaze them and put them on bases, but they're too precious.

Brandy, that is so cute!! I'm not sure what finish I'm going to do this time. I've done bronze, skin tone, and white...not sure what I like best.

I got a kit at my baby shower, but haven't used it yet.  I wasn't sure what the best age would be, and I'm afraid of doing it and him moving and messing it up.  Maybe I'll get him in his sleep...

Anytime up to 9 or 10 months is fine (younger is probably better, as they are less wiggly). You don't want to wait longer than that, or their feet will be too big for the container.

You really can't mess it up by him moving. The mold will set in whatever position his hand or foot is in. The tricky part comes when you fill it with the plaster mix...you have to make sure you fill all the little toes and fingers.

Seriously?? Is that just for the tin, or for the frames as well? I really want to do one of these for Xander but it's taken me so long to get around to it..

That is for the 3D molds. When you order, you get a container (it's like a Gladware thing that sandwich meat comes in), and it is just deep enough for a foot. You could still do an older baby, but I would order extra bags of mold powder and plaster mix, and use a bigger container.
