Failed BC? (Pill?)

I just want to know if there is any stories out there of failed pill controlled BC? I have been back on the pill for a month and a half now and was just wondering how many IG ladies it failed to work with..

I am not looking to scare anyone, I know the sucess rate is 99.9% but in a forum of ladies I thought it would be interesting to see how many people have had this happen to them

i had a bc failure...i was on the patch....i had a girl after 5 boys...so it all worked out!!!!

I did get pregnant on the pill.  My mom did also...twice...

How did you girls realise you were pregnant - I mean before taking a test obviously

What made you think to test?

Gosh, I don't remember.  I think my boyfriend at the time kept saying he thought I was pregnant and then I started to feel pregnant.  So I tested and panicked when I saw the second line.

Funny story actually......

    I had ordered in some cheapie ept's for my future girl attempt...they came in...just for kick's I took one...it was still a couple days before AF was due...but just to see it work I took one...it came back positive...I just about fell over!!!  I waited until I was late to tell DH...although took several tests in between only to have them come back positive too!!!  So I was so not surprised when the dr said..yup..your pregnant!!!  My DH was a little in shock...but then quite proud of himself...in his words..."He got one past the goalie!!!"

I got pregnant with ds1 on the Patch and ds2 on the pill.  Best 2 surprises of my life.   Crazy stories, with ds1 I had an old preg test in my linen closet and my Goddaughter was coming over for the wknd so I went to throw it out.  For kicks I peed on it 1st and set it down on bathroom counter and forgot about it.  I came back to throw it away 2hrs later and there were 2 LINES!!!  With ds2 I felt pregnant the day after we bd.  I took a pg test 2 weeks later and it was negative but I knew I was pregnant.  I took another test a week later and it was positive.

 Oh i love telling this story. I had been on the pill since i was 14 and was told due to PCOS i will never fall pregnant naturally. When i met DP when i was 18 we used protection for the first 6 months and din't bother after that. I had had one scare when my period didn't show up and got BFN all round so i gathered that i couldn't fall pregnant. I had been to the doctor many times because of endometriosis and one moth in 2006 i didnt get a period so i went to a doctor and he told me that my endo had been acting up again and told me to wait it out. Well another month past and no period so i went to the doctor again and he was busy so i had to see a new doctor. She asked me how long i had been with my DP and i said 4 years and she said alright to rule out pregnancy i'm going to get you to do a test. I was literally laughing to the toilet, cacking myself thinking this doc has no idea. We sat talking for a while and she looked at the test and she just looked at me and said "sweety, its positive". I looked at her smiling and said with out thinking "for endometriosis??" "No sweetheart your pregnant".

I burst into tears and called my nan and my brother into the room and told them the news, not the best reaction, infact the both said "what have you done, your stupid girl" I was gutted. Anywho rang my dad and told him he hung the phone up just after i had told him and thenm i rang my DP he picked up the phone this was our exact conversation "hey bub, how are you?" to that i replied with "ummm.. aaron your going to be a daddy!" "right..... i'll call you back!" and he hung up. I was bawling in the carpark and he did call me back eventually. We went for a scan 3 weeks later and i 11 weeks 7 days. So i was 9 weeks about when i found out by accident. Ha ha ha ha

Sorry the story is so long i just love telling people that story i still have tears to this day. 

Okay ladies I am going to tell you as we have heard quite a few excellent stories now...

I have been getting pregnancy symptoms, i.e. BB are sore, headaches, flaky scalp (only get when preggo), feeling sick, feeling bloated, peeing loads, backache.. Ugh I don't know I don't think it will happen but I just feel achy all the time.

We have BD only twice this month the 2nd time was Monday.. I am wondering what is going on with me.

I love the stories that have come out of this thread, I think these lines cracked me up the most:

I do know people who have got pregnant on the pill (seemed to be a family thing all the girls in the family seemed to be immune to the pill!) but I also know someone who got pregnant with an IUD in! Mirena to be exact....so i think like anything else...nothing is 100%

I got pregnant twice on the pill that I remember.  Unfortunately both times resulted in a miscarriage for me.  My Mum also got pregnant on the pill before but also miscarried...
