I'm really shocked at how many people can't get their ew to float

I did about 70-80 total msu practices when we were ttc.  ALL of the ew floated each time.  I wonder what is so different?

Probably your dh's sperm!  I noticed that when I first started...before putting dh on the LR to lower his ph, the ew floated nicely.  Now with him being on the LR ...not so good!!!  It mixes or semi-floats!!  But, have taken him off for a few weeks and am hoping that might make a difference for me at least!!!

maybe so.  My DHs was naturally super high 9+

Well the first couple of times I tried, I thought you were supposed to stir the eggwhites and DH's sample together and then the eggwhite was supposed to float up.  Then I read somewhere not to stir, so I just put DH's sample in first then the eggwhite on top and it seemed to float okay.  Now I don't know which way is really right...  Just thought I would share.

for tbm for boy you are only supppose to mix it together if it doesn't float. 

i have no idea if i should have DH on LR or not... i thougth about that happening though.  maybe i will take him BACK off again!

the first time I tried SU everything mixed, but I did it way to fast.

The second time I really went slow with it and everything was great!  Except my incubator was too hot and killed all the sperm after 1 hour ;).  So I have to work on that.

I need to do more practice trials though to make sure the EW's always float

I practiced alot because I was ttc a long time and because for a while there we weren't ttc but I wanted to experiment.  So in the beginning it was lots of experiments just to see if it would work.  No one else had done it before.

We finally decided to ttc this way though lots of prayer and encouragement from some forum members that were on my buddy group (but aren't hear anymore).  we were the first ones to take that 'leap'

My DH is on licorice root too. I maybe could get a float if I tried - but its not worth the stress as you only get the one chance on the night. I am going back to practing though this month....
