Punkin - Im sorry you didnt hear boy at your scan but i would definately not lose all hope yet.  Wait until the proper gender scan.  If the tech said hes usually 90% sure, theres always that 10% of hope.

Im glad your bean was healthy and beautiful though and yes, its not great to have false hope but theres also no harm in having a bit of hope in the back of your head.  Whatever gender this baby is, it will be loved

Goes without saying that I completely HATE the nub theory now, It has given nothing but pain to some of my dearest friends....and ofcourse its proven wrong SO SO SO many times! IF you go into the U/S forum, everyday there are atleast 3 posts saying how wrong the guesses were and its a different gender in reality!...and most of these posts are about girl nubs that later turned into boys! Please dont consider yourself out of the game yet...youre still very much in it, still have 50/50 chance!....

You have all been so kind to me.  You guys have taken me through this whole process from the beginning and here you are making sure that I don't fall apart in the end 

To everyone questioning my Peri's guess I really do think he's right.  There were 3 people in the room all saying girl at one time.  That was a bit much.  Plus I've spent a lot of time on the u/s boards lately and I'm giving the nub a 100% girl guess.  It's funny I really allowed myself to think that my sway might work.  If you go look at the latest TTC blue spreadsheet the entire thing is blue expect for me.  I know my sway was stricter than some of the other ladies getting boys so I guess swaying just doesn't work for me.   It's going to take some time to completely accept this, but I think it's better to know now than at the delivery.  The hard part is I haven't even announced my pg to friends and family so I still have to go through all the "maybe you'll get a boy" comments.  I have no plans to announce the gender until my next scan so I guess I just have to grin and bear it and that's going to be a tough one.  I feel sad because it should be so exciting for me, but I have all these underlying feeling that no one gets to see...not even DH.  It was impossible to hide my disappointment from him yesterday.  And when I called my Mom to update her she asked if they guessed the gender and I told her no.   Before I went to bed he said I'm sorry you are disappointed.  I reassure him that I love her and I am very grateful that she is healthy and strong and everything will be OK.

Oh and I'm pissed because my scanner at work puts the u/s pic in a pdf format and it won't let me convert it to jpg.  I can't edit and save it.  IDK how to get it on here.

Punkin: I wasn't able to come on yesterday so I didn't know about your scan until now. I am sorry that the Peri didn't give you the news that you were hoping for.  Grrrrr.  But I am still holding out hope for you.  Either way, I am still very happy that the baby is fine and healthy.

Punkin - Im so sorry you are hurting sweetie. You really did give it your all, and you should be proud. It's important that you know you did everything you could to have your boy. I will keep hoping for a change at your next scan. Your a great Mommy, you truly are.

Thanks FG for starting a new thread.  I just can't start it out with my girl nub pic so I'll put it here.  I realize this is a very crappy shot, but trust me the Peri got a much better look.  Plus it is straight as an arrow IRL if not slightly down at the end.
