Is this still girly to you? 16wk u/s compared to my 21wk...

I'm ready to get started with the nursery. I usually wait until the gender is confirmed at 20wks. Well, I had a different tech this time and she said girl. My 16wk u/s, tech was sure of girl.  But we got the "Y" last time which looks so much more convincing! lol and now I have a picture of the "mounds".

does this still look girly to you?  Would you get started if this were your u/s?

LOL- if you want to take the advice of someone like myself who can't seem to stop obsessing over my own u/s results, I would say go for it!! That 2nd u/s is a GREAT shot and if I had gotten a pic like that the nursery would already be pink!!

Yes...I would be convinced that is a girl.  Start painting!

Oh Seashell they both look girly to me and more importantly you were told both times a girl. Go for it. Enjoy decorating. I'm a bit like you, have been told girl and have the shots to prove it but still can't believe it. I'm going to do a gender neutral room and once the baby is born add pink and girly things. See, I don't even say when 'she' is born. I still say 'the baby'. I think I'm still in shock!!!

haha Alli, I've seen your pics!! YOU HAVE A GIRL!! lol  She's going to have some wonderful big brothers to hang out with and watch over her! Isn't just weird to have "she/her" come out of your mouth. I've been so hesitant to say it, just feels alien!

my_girls, I have thought about doing the same thing. Keeping the room toned down and then go frilly crazy once that baby girl is home!  I'm having the hardest time talking myself into buying pink. It just feels so weird!
and if you are like me, you'll need reassurance every week that it's still a girl ;), I try to keep my posts to a minimum or they would be a new one here everyday asking if they see anything that could have grown overnight! lol

I can never get enough reassurance! I'll be making myself purchase something "girl" this weekend, maybe that will make some reality click ;)

LOL- more like every other day for me! I still catch myself saying he all the time or just the baby- must be that little bit of doubt that trips us up when we try to say she. I'm trying hard though, because I'm starting to be convinced that by 19 & 20.5 weeks if there were any boy parts they would be obvious by now....

Either that or I'm going to have a very not-well-endowed boy.

Sounds just like me! I feel the hesitation every time I let "she" come out of my mouth. But it's getting better and easier every day ;)
