Sorry to keep you all hanging ladies. I made a dash for the airport after getting the news. Would you believe...they were ALL BOYS!!!!!!!

They PGDed a total of 5 embies though I think only 4 were viable. We froze the normal XY from yesterday and the normal XY from today. The other three had xxy or one missing chromosome 21, or both. Are my eggs too old? Does my husband drink too much? Now I'm worried about abnormality on top of sex!!!

 Good luck to all of you about to start on your high tech journeys. I'll keep an eye on your progress.

 
I'm going to try to have a sperm analysis done here in HK to see the ratio of boy to girl. If it's normal, then I might try Thailand again. If it's really skewed like you might expect it to be after having three boys and 2 frozen boy blasts, then we'll try MS in the US plus PGD. Sigh. Sorry I didn't give you guys the hope you were looking for.

Pretty bad huh? Three out of three ladies here who went to Thailand came up empty handed.
 

I am so sorry hktwinmom, I really had hope for you! I wish there was something I could say that would make this easier for you. I know after we had our second cycle we started to worry about everything including abnormalities and did we need to have some individual genetic testing done etc. We have since done alot of research and talked to a number of RE's and embryologists who say they see results like mine often. I now believe there is a lot of luck involved.

Hang in there. I hope you can rest up and feel better soon. I know what helped me was planning my next cycle. I really hope your DD is coming to you soon!

Gosh, I was so disappointed when I read this..... that's probably little comfort to the disappointment you're encountered.  I'm sure things will work out in your favour.  MS is a very appealing option.  Wishing you well and please stick around. Big hugs!

Does make me wonder if thailand is the right option for us or should we just head over to the US instead. Its all just so confusing.

 Thanks for your continued support ladies. I'm looking in to Microsort now, but it's looking grim because we have what seems to be fairly severe MF that might prevent us from being able to use the technology. If so, then I guess I'll give it another couple of goes in Thailand. I was interested to learn that Malaysia is an option, and might be less expensive, but I'd much rather be in Bangkok than KL (the people are so much friendlier)!

hktwinmom, some of the girls mentioned there was some sperm sorting offered in TMC Malaysia.  Even if it's a 70-80% sort it's better than no sorting at all?  Just a thought, if it seems viable enough I know I'll be heading towards where sorting can be done.  What do you think?

 Clearly, I'm in favor of sorting. Who would have thought ALL males was really a chance? I mean, not that it would have changed things, but it would have given me a little hope if there were at least an abnormal XX in the batch!

If they really can sort to that ratio, than I'll look into TMC...if the MF isn't an issue!
