I have been trying to decide what to do and would appreciate to hear some opinions.  We have been ttc for 7 months, going on 8 months now. I have had 2 chemical pg's out of the last 3 cycles.  I did have issues getting pg with ds2...dr said that I had some hormone issues and possibly pcos. She gave me Metformin and I got pg the 1st month on that medication.  My cycles have been fairly regular and I o every month.

I have my annual visit coming up on Dec. 2 Yuck. I was planning on talking with the dr about what could be going wrong at that appt rather than scheduling an infertile appt.  I know that my dr does not believe in swaying so I can't tell him 100% everything.  So, here are my questions:

1) How do I get him to help me without telling him everything that we're doing?

2) Should I tell him about all my supplements? The supplements that I take make my cm creamy and doesn't really allow my body to get to the EW cm...which is probably part of my hinderance.

3) Should I even ask for help at this appt since swaying will slow down how quickly we get pg? We haven't even been trying a full year...add in the swaying, it could take even longer than that.

4) I have only had 2 chemical's but how many should I have before I start raising questions?

5) I will be close to Oing at my appt or possibly Oing on that day. If we did not get pg this cycle, we were going to take a break for 1-2 cycles. Should I even say anything when I am planning on taking a short break?

I don't think it would hurt to him while you are there.  Just tell him what you feel comfortable telling him.  If you have issues getting pg to begin, swaying does make it harder.  That's why I am not swaying hard this go around.  It never hurts to be fully informed even if you are taking a month or two off.  Good luck at your doctor's appointment.

Thank you so much for responding...I'm SO trying to figure out what I'm going to do.  I just want to be prepared before I go in there. Kwim?

I think it makes sense to talk to him when you are there anyway rather than having to make (and pay for) a separate appointment.

I don't know a whole lot about swaying, but I don't think anything you do to sway should cause chemical pregnancies. I would suggest focusing on that rather than on having trouble getting pregnant. You have gotten pregnant 2 out of the last 3 cycles, so you're really not having trouble conceiving--you're having trouble having it stick. Hopefully he can help you with that without needing to get into the swaying. I'm sorry you've had a hard time with this.

You could tell him, he probably wont take it seriously anyway because they never seem to believe there's any truth in it.

But just because you've not had problems in the past doesn't mean anything, it's possible to suffer secondary infertility. I suffered a over a year of infertility with my third, no swaying involved.

Good Luck Clover

See, that's part of why I wanted to discuss any possible ferility issues at my yearly...was due to $. I didn't want to pay for another appt when I had to be there anyways. Kwim?

We had a discussion about swaying...he believes that children are a gift and that you should be happy with what you are given.  I am happy with what I have been given...I feel very blessed. I just feel that I have a daughter out there, somewhere, that is waiting for us. Does that make any sense?

I did have some problems getting pg with ds2.  I seem to feel the same way as I did then...hormones off, acne is going crazy ALL the time Grouchy, & fairly short cycles for me.  Sorry if tmi...I have 2 days of heavy & then all of a sudden, it dramatically lightens up. Tongue Tied
