Aquarium Princess Day: A Benefit for Frog Conservation. Girls 12 and
under, in princess costumes, receive FREE* admission and are invited to join us in parades, games and
fairytale fun. Frog kissing is optional! B.Y.O.T (bring your own tiara)
and help us give frogs a happily ever after! I just got this email from the Aquarium in my area. Am I'm the only one a little bothered by this? As a mother of two boys this is somthing that I can not praticipate in. I wouldn't be so bothered if there was another event on their website listed where little boys get in free. But nope nothing for little boys in the future. Maybe it should have been a Princess and Priate Day. And honestly I think this would bother me if I had both a boy and a girl. If I had a little girl and took her to this and had to take my little boy too there would be nothing for him to do.

Maybe not Pirates since they're not part of the film but a prince like sailormoonmomma said (even though most boys that are old enough to know better don't want to be princes) but even something funny with the frogs for the boys would have been cute.
Disney is all about profits you would think they would have wanted to include the boys. I would be shocked if all of the "fairytale "fun" is free anyway. It's prolly just the admission and then when you get in you can help yourself to some $8 bottled water and cotton candy.

Yeah maybe Priates isn't the best idea. But something with frogs. And honestly it is not just about getting in for free, I have a membership for me and my oldest boy (little one is still free), but how about some fun for the little boys? I'm sure they could have thought of something to include the boys. And honestly if there was something on their website for the boys in the future that would be fine too. I guess part of it is that I feel bad that the my boys (well all boys) are being left out. But then again I guess it can be a good bonding day for mothers and daughters.

I agree--that is horrible! They should make it for everyone and encourage the boys to dress up as well (as princes or frogs or something!) Also, how is this a fundraiser for frog conservation if it's free?

That irritates me so bad I would probably complain. That's bull.

I'd call and ask if there is a Free Day for boys (there is nothing that says it has to be on the same day) but if they tell you there isn't a day for boys I would immediately call several local news stations to see if they'd do a story about how your boys (and all boys) are being excluded from an opportunity because of sexism.

Parents and any siblings will have to pay admission it's $26 for adults and $19.50 for kids:

How about post the number to the aquarium here on this thread and all of us will call it and complain!!!! :)
My C-section baby My HBAC (Home Birth After Cesarean) baby! Hoping to add a or two to the mix in the future! Love our amazing boys but so ready to experience the "other side" :)

I wrote them an email. This is what I wrote. "To whom it may concern:
As a member of the Aquarium and a mother
of two young BOYS, this is something that I can not participate in.
Will there be something before the end of the year (when my membership
runs out) tailored towards little boys?" I think I was pretty nice. I'll let you know if I get an email back. This is the email address I sent it too in case anyone would like to send an email too.
