Would you have gone High Tech? Just curious, as before I found IG, I didn't even KNOW that High Tech existed! I was even more surprised that SO many people travel from overseas to chase their dream....

If it weren't for this site I wouldn't even know it existed or anythnig about it. I was pregnant when I found this site but I am not opposed to going high-tech one day if we decide to have another baby, DH wants a biological son

i had known about high tech, but without i-g, i probably would not have done it... it's like if you hear about a great restaurant, but don't make a decision to try it until a friend tries it and tells you about it.

I had heard that GS was scientifically possible, but had no idea that it was available to public. So no, I would not have gone HT if it weren't for this website.

I knew about HT before coming here, but would I be doing it now, without IG? Probably not, so I have some serious thanks to give to some of the HT girls

I actually decided to go HT after researching online! However somehow I never found IG until after I had already paid for most of my cycle. I found IG when I was trying to find a "support" group b/c I didn't have ANYONE to talk to about what I was going through. I really really wish I would have found IG BEFORE I started to cycle. It would have helped on the research side. I felt so much more comfortable with my FET b/c I had the chance to talk to people about clinics and experiences prior to starting that cycle!

I found out about IG after our first unsuccessful fresh cycle. IG was a great resource and support group for me while I went through my FET cycle.

I don't think so. I found IG when I was researching Microsort. I had read an article about MS and saved it for years until we were ready for another baby. I definitely know I wouldn't have ever tried PGD if it weren't for IG. I remember when I first read about it I thought- these women are crazy and here I am!!

I thought about it before finding IG and I would have done MS but I had never heard of IVF/PGD before IG.

Chooks I didn't know you were going high tech. When did you decide that? I seem to miss everything. Congratulations on your decision! Can't wait to follow your journey!

I don't know for sure, but I doubt I would have. I loved (and still do) reading the positive outcomes and stories of all the ladies on this board. It's probably what gave me a push.

Same for me . . . I knew high tech was available, but probably wouldn't have taken the plunge without IG.

I knew about "sperm spining" but had no clue that IVF was an option until I found IG. Without these boards I never would have gone with MS/IVF/PGD, I am so thankful I found this site!

MS/IVF/PGD -BFP!

I had read an article about MS when I was researching gender selection methods. That's when I found IG. I've been trying to convince DH of going high-tech since I found all this (nearly 2 years ago)-- and he's not budging. He won't even really sway. So, I'm doing what swaying I can and a whole lot of praying! I'd like to think that if our next baby is another boy, DH would at least consider high-tech for baby #4. Wishful thinking, I suppose.
